Since 1999,China has officially entered an aging society. With the continuous increase in the proportion of the elderly aged over 65 in China and the continuous decrease in the proportion of the children aged 0-14,the aging trend in China's population continues to increase.Compared with the severe aging situation, the construction of pension facilities is obviously insufficient. In the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan",the Chinese government proposed to build a old-age care service system based on home,community-based support, and supplemented by institutions. Many localities issued policies to support the transformation of existing old buildings into old-age care facilities. In the actual investigation process of the author,I noticed that there are a lot of old medical facilities in China, which are relatively complete in structure but backward in function, and can not meet the modern medical needs and are idle.Transforming existing old medical buildings into old-age care facilities can not only make efficient use of existing medical equipment, avoid waste of building materials and labor costs, but also quickly fill the gap in the demand for old-age beds. This article will discuss the specific measures for transforming existing old medical buildings into old-age care facilities based on the investigation of the current status of existing medical buildings. The first chapter introduces the basic situation of the thesis. This article takes the elderly care facilities transformed from medical buildings as the research object, from planning, planning to building individual design, explores and summarizes the strategies of medical building reconstruction and expansion into elderly care facilities at different stages.By collecting relevant examples from home and abroad,we can summarize the lessons we can learn from. The second chapter introduces the definition of related old-age pension concepts and the needs of reconstruction and expansion. It briefly describes the development of the old-age care policy, the development of the integrated medical and nursing buildings in China, and the study of the basic data of the physical and psychological characteristics and needs of the elderly. This article provides the basis for the transformation research. The third chapter introduces the investigation and analysis of the renovation and expansion of existing hospitals.Investigate examples of medical buildings(Juxian County Hospital),examples of medical care buildings(Jinan Nanshan Nursing Home),examples of medical care building reconstruction(Jinan Lishan Road Furui Da Nursing Home),summarize the problems observed during the survey Adaptability analysis of some buildings and enlightenment on reconstruction and suggestions. The fourth chapter is the core chapter, which mainly introduces the specific measures for the reconstruction and expansion of existing medical buildings into old-age facilities. The process of reconstruction and expansion involves two aspects: planning for reconstruction and expansion and specific measures.Measures for ageing reconstruction, first introduced the contents of ageing renovation of existing hospital sites, then introduced ageing renovation of core nursing units of existing hospitals and ageing renovation of public spaces, and finally introduced the details of accessible barrier-free and elderly facilities design. The fifth chapter takes the example of the people's hospital of Wushe county, where the theoretical results were applied to the practice.A unified analysis was made to discuss the specific reforming methods,in terms of the earlier aged design planning, planning layout, structural style and local requirements.Meanwhile, the elderly-oriented rebuilding and extension planning of the existing inpatient buildings was elaborated, which included applying the Reconstruction theories of core units, public space,barrier-free facilities to the practice to demonstrate the theoretical results.
