A Study On The Three Margins Of China's Renewable Energy Products Exports And Their Influencing Factors

With the global warming and shortage of energy resources and other issues increasingly prominent,accelerating the development and utilization of renewable energy has become the world's common views and concerted action.Renewable energy is a key component of the energy supply system,including solar energy,wind energy,water energy,biomass energy,geothermal energy and ocean energy,etc.With great potential for resource development,low environmental pollution and reusable energy,renewable energy is an important energy that is conducive to the harmonious development of man and nature.At present,the scale of the development and utilization of renewable energy in the world is expanding,and the application cost is dropping rapidly.The development of renewable energy has become an important measure for many countries to promote the transformation of traditional energy and cope with climate change.It is also an important way for China to promote the revolution of energy production and consumption and realize the transformation of energy.China has certain advantages in energy resource endowment,relevant technologies,labor costs,policies and regulations,etc.Therefore,the development of the renewable energy industry shows a strong late-mover advantage.On the whole,it is in a state of rapid development.However,the financial crisis and trade frictions have had a serious negative impact on China's export of renewable energy products.The 2008 financial crisis caused a global economic downturn and a sharp decrease in international market demand.In 2009,the export of renewable energy products fell significantly for the first time.In 2011 America's photovoltaic products in China is given priority to with anti-dumping and anti-subsidy "double reverse" survey,which caused the European Union,Canada,India and other initiated trade investigations,the sustainable development of China's renewable energy industry is severely hampered,export is affected by trade barriers is very obvious,after 2011 exports of volatility and sustained negative growth.The above phenomena fully exposed the vulnerability of China's renewable energy export to external shocks.Therefore,it is of great significance for seeking a new export development model and improving export competitiveness to deeply investigate the export fluctuation,analyze the micro-structure of export growth,and explore the influencing factors of export growth of renewable energy products on this basis.In this paper,based on the heterogeneous enterprise trade theory,analysis of 2000-2016,the Chinese renewable energy products export growth margin of the ternary structure,and further explore its determinants,renewable energy industry export growth fluctuation will provide theoretical explanation and empirical evidence,to deal with external shocks,such as the financial crisis,change the mode of foreign trade to provide policy reference.The structure of this paper is as follows.The first chapter is the introduction.Firstly,it explains the research background and significance of this paper.Secondly,the literature review was summarized into two aspects:the research on trade margin and the research on the development of renewable energy industry.Finally,the framework structure,innovation points and shortcomings of this paper were pointed out.The second chapter firstly defines the scope of renewable energy products in this paper and then analyzes the theoretical basis related to trade growth and export impact factors.The third chapter analyzes the export characteristics of China's renewable energy products from macro and micro aspects.First from the macro level,the export scale,structure,market scope analysis.The results show that the export scale of renewable energy products is enlarged,the export market scope is dispersed,but the export structure is relatively single.Then,from the micro level,the ternary marginal value of exports is decomposed,and the kernel density map is used to comprehensively show the dynamic evolution characteristics of China's ternary marginal value of exports to 74 sample economies.The result of ternary marginal decomposition shows that the main path of export growth of renewable energy products is along the quantity margin,and the growth rate of product quality measured by export price is slow,and the expansion margin does not contribute to the export growth.The dynamic evolution of the kernel density map shows that the gap between expansion margin and price margin in the sample economy is narrowing,but the gap between quantity margin is still widening.This shows that China's export of renewable energy products is characterized by "extensive" growth.The fourth chapter is a study on the influencing factors of China's export of renewable energy products.Firstly,the influencing factors are analyzed theoretically.Secondly,using the extension of the gravity model empirical analysis on the factors which influence on exports,the results show that China and importing countries(regions)of the products of the economic scale,the products of the population scale,the level of trade facilitation,technology innovation ability and the Shared border have significant positive influence on exports,anti-dumping,anti-subsidy and external shocks have significant negative impact on exports,geographic distance no significant impact on export.Thirdly,the influence factors of export were investigated from the perspective of ternary marginal.The results showed that the influence factors of ternary marginal had heterogeneity,and most of the influence factors mainly affected the overall export along the quantity marginal.Finally,a group study was conducted based on the differences in the economic development level of the sample economies,and the results showed that the influencing factors of China on the export of renewable energy products in developed and developing economies were obviously heterogeneous.The fifth chapter is the conclusion and policy recommendations.Based on the above analysis results,the paper puts forward policy Suggestions such as optimizing export structure,promoting technological innovation,improving trade facilitation,actively dealing with trade barriers and strengthening international cooperation,so as to promote the marginal balanced development of export of renewable energy products in ternary.The innovation of this paper is mainly reflected in two aspects:first,taking the whole renewable energy industry as the research object,this paper explores the micro-structure of its export growth from the perspective of ternary marginal,and divides its total export into ternary marginal,namely,expansion margin,price margin and quantity margin.Second,in this paper,using the extended gravity model,selecting the economic scale,population scale,level of trade facilitation,technology innovation ability,such as anti-dumping and countervailing as influencing factors,first of all,to explore the mechanism of influencing factors on exports,and further to explore the influence factors on the mechanism of action of the ternary marginal,based on the sample economies of economic development level differences on the influence factor of the ternary marginal heterogeneity problem are studied.
