Port as an important node in the global trade circulation, its logistics performance has become an important factor affecting the operation of goods.Electromechanical products are the leaders in China's export trade.In2017,the total export value of electromechanical products accounted for more than half of China's total export value. In recent years,North America and Europe have been the main export targets. In order to avoid the possible export crisis of electromechanical products caused by the US trade friction and the limited marginal growth space of developed countries,China should take advantage of the convenience provided by the"21st Century Maritime Silk Road" initiative to actively explore new overseas markets. The characteristics of high technology, high added value and weight commodities of electromechanical products make it has more demanding for port logistics performance. In view of this, this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the impact of port logistics performance along the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" on China's exports of electrome'chanical products, which is of great practical significance for improving China's exports of electromechanical products.Firstly, based on the previous studies and theoretical analysis, that port logistics performance has a positive impact on export trade, and promotes the development of foreign trade by reducing trade costs,'improving foreign trade environment and improving trade facilitation.Secondly,13 indicators are selected from the four dimensions ofport logistics scale, infrastructure conditions, economic development level of host country and port development potential, and factor analysis is adopted to calculate the port logistics performance' level along the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road".It is found that the performance level of port logistics along the route is uneven, among which Southeast Asia,Western Asia and Europe are relatively developed, while South Asia and Africa are relatively backward.Port of Singapore, port of Rotterdam and port of Dubai are the top three ports in the comprehensive factor score, and the logistics performance level of each port is differently affected by different main factors.Thirdly, this paper uses the systematic generalized moment estimation model to analyze the relationship between the port logistics performance along the route and the export trade of electromechanical products from the aspects of export scale, market structure and commodity structure. The results show that the improvement of port logistics performance plays a positive role in promoting China's overall export of electromechanical products. From the perspective of market structure, the impact coefficient of logistics performance level of Southeast Asian ports is the highest, followed by Western Asia,Africa,South Asia and Europe. From the perspective of commodity structure, metal products and electric machinery, appliances and electrical parts, telecommunications and recording playback equipment, general industrial machinery equipment and parts are highly affected by port logistics performance. These types of commodities are mostly technology-intensive commodities. The development of port manufacturing and processing industry has greatly increased the added value of products. The improvement of port logistics performance level has a great positive impact on promoting the transformation of export commodities from labor-intensive to technology-intensive.Finally,based on the empirical research of this paper, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to stimulate the export of China's electromechanical products, and optimize export structure from market and commodity through the improvement of port logistics performance.
