Bogies is the main bearing body of the load on railway rolling stock act as locomotives,whose assembly quality is directly related to the safety of railway in operation.With the economic development in China,the frequency of the use of locomotives increases significantly,so there is an urgent need to improve the assembly process quality of locomotive bogies in order to ensure driving safety effectively.The bogies of HXN3B locomotives is deeply studied in this essay,including the virtual assembly process and simulation as well as key technical problems.An analysis method of virtual assembly of locomotive bogie based on Creo is established,detailed virtual assembly modeling scheme is proposed.3D structural process design,which replaces the traditional process design.The simulation ability of 3D visualization model assembly process is improved.The transition from the management of card type process design to the structural process design and management supported by 3D intuitive graphics is realized.The main research contents are as follows:(1)The overall structure of locomotive bogies is introduced and the bogies are part of the structure was divided and introduced.Then a targeted bogie assembly process sequence was proposed.(2)Selecting a suitable modeling platform and introducing the function of the simulation software.Based on the bogie assembly process sequence and the bogie structure analysis,a set of detailed virtual assembly modeling scheme is proposed,which laid foundation for the implementation of virtual assembly.(3)The assembly process of the wheel set and the assembly process of the bogie are introduced.The corresponding virtual assembly scheme is proposed and designed.The virual assembly can simulate the process in the workshop.(4)The use of virtual assembly to solve the practical problems of assembly and the optimization of process sequencing and its effects verify the rationality of the application of virtual assembly in virtual manufacturing.It provides an evidence to realize the digital assembly of locomotive bogies and has some application value and guiding significance for the research on virtual manufacturing of locomotive bogies.
