Research On The Space Renewal Of Traditional Streets And Alleys From The Perspective Of Public Art

It can be said that the traditional street space bears the history of urban development invisibly,and is also the basic place for people to live and communicate.It is undeniable that the regional characteristics of different cities have gradually converged under the background of rapid economic development.More seriously,the traditional street space is facing many problems,such as the break of historical context,the loss of cultural connotation and so on.Starting from the study of people’s behavior,this paper attempts to analyze people’s emotional experience and psychological changes in street space,so as to further explore the system design method that can reflect the characteristics of traditional street space.The research idea of this paper is based on street space.Its main approach is to analyze the composition of "objects" in street space,such as public art sketches,urban furniture and other visual elements.By skillfully using public art design techniques to intervene in traditional streets and lanes,this paper attempts to restore the occurrence of "events" in space places,and on this basis,puts forward the strategy of public art creation in traditional street and lane space.In the process of rapid urban expansion and transformation,even if urban builders have paid some attention to the beautifying function of public art,they still neglect the cultural connotation behind public art.Essentially,public art is not an independent art form,which however exists on the basis of specific space and place.It has to be said that regional culture and place spirit in different regions have decisive influence on the final appearance of public art.In this regard,how to re-create the traditional street space with a sense of identity and belonging through the means of public art design is particularly important.Generally speaking,the paper is divided into five chapters.Firstly,based on the theory of public art,this paper introduces the theory of place spirit in architectural phenomenology.Secondly,aiming at the objective elements such as the form classification and material composition of traditional streets and lanes,this paper triesto compare and analyze the current situation of public art of street and lane space at home and abroad,so as to clarify the existing problems of public art of street and lane space in our country.On this basis,this paper further explores public art design techniques,in order to better create a unique atmosphere of street space.Finally,through on-the-spot investigation,this paper analyses the large wells and lanes that can represent the characteristics of Hangzhou,and summarizes the current situation of the investigation.Based on the case analysis,this paper further extracts the design techniques that can be used for reference,aiming at summarizing the design ideas for the development of traditional street space in Hangzhou.
