Smart grid is a strategic decision in our country.As a key node of smart grid,substation develops into intelligent substation,and it also brings many problems,including the reliability and rapidity of relay protection,the protection function rely on SCD,the number of devices increased sharply,the operation and maintenance personnel are relatively insufficient,the infrastructure installation and debugging time needs to be shortened,and the requirements for relay protection professionals are high.In order to solve these problems,the State Grid clearly defines the localization protection as an important development direction of relay protection.At present,the relay protection in localization installation of the State Grid is a small unprotected protection device behind outdoor intelligent component cabinets.In this paper,Icepak is used to analyzes the scheme of the State Grid,and considers that when this scheme is used in traction substations,there will be problems such as temperature rise and insufficient reliability.In order to solve these problems,combined with the characteristics of traction power supply and the environment of the device,a three-in-one relay protection in localization installation device for protecting the main body is proposed,which can replace relay protection device,the merging unit and the intelligent terminal.In a typical traction substation,relay protection device,merging unit,intelligent terminal has more than 30 sets,using three-in-one relay protection can reduce the number to 12,optimizing communication network in substation.The device adopts a high-performance multi-core processor,integrates the functions of the protection,the merging unit,and the intelligent terminal,and distributes them to each core of the processor.The device is modularized according to functions,ensuring that the device can replace the protection merge unit and intelligent terminal.The existing digital substation adopts the three-layer two-network structure under the IEC 61850 standard.After the localization protection,the primary and secondary equipment of the substation are placed close to each other,and the protection chamber is eliminated.The three-layer two-network structure is no longer suitable.A three-in-one communication network architecture suitable for relay protection in localization installation of traction substation is put forward,and simulates the traction substation communication network based on the OPNET platform,proves that the real-time industrial Ethernet technology is suitable for constructing the communication network in the traction substation.This not only optimizes the communication network architecture in the substation,but also makes the communication network of the substation meet the requirements of smart grid and relay protection in localization installation.In addition,the whole station plan and group screen scheme for Relay protection in localization installation is designed,and the requirements of repair process and the non-stop power transmission is put forward,which proves that the relay protection in localization installation has the advantages of easy replacement and high maintenance efficiency in maintenance.
