Research On East Asian Energy Security Under The Background Of "One Belt,One Road"

At present,the global energy market is in a transitional period.With the continuous improvement of energy efficiency,the growth of global energy consumption is slowing down.At the same time,the energy structure is shifting towards cleaner,low—carbon energy driven by technological advances and environmental demands.The rapid growth of energy demand and acceleration of prosperity have come more from emerging economies represented by Asia than from traditional energy markets in the OECD.The world's energy consumption centers are shifting eastward,and East Asia as their consumption hubs have strong consumer demand and insufficient supply,long—term energy supply depends on imports,especially highly depends on the Middle East,and a single source of energy supply and transport channels lead to long—term East Asian energy security dilemma.The timely introduction of the One Belt And One Road initiative is a new opportunity for East Asia's energy security dilemma to be effectively resolved,and energy security is also an important part of the construction of One Belt And One Road.The construction of “five links” under the “One Belt and One Road” background will provide platforms and opportunities for the establishment of East Asia's energy security cooperation mechanism;as a breakthrough point for cooperation in areas of new energy,which is less affected by geopolitical factors;and to timely expand the scope of existing cooperation mode of energy sources,this will have a positive impact on developing and deepening energy cooperation among East Asian countries.In recent years,China's economic and military power has rapidly increased,and its overall national strength has been greatly enhanced.As a responsible big country,China will surely play an active leading role in it.At the same time,due to the long—standing existence of the big—power game in East Asia,the construction of the East Asian energy security cooperation mechanism will encounter strong resistance.Therefore,the construction of the cooperation mechanism can be achieved overnight and needs gradual and continuous progress.
