As an important parameter in the application and product design of transmission belt,the friction coefficient of belt drive has certain significance in guiding users to select more reasonable specifications and tension forces,ensure the effectiveness of transmission,reduce noise and vibration,and prolong the product life in traditional gear train design.Also,it has the important reference value in guiding belt drive production enterprises to design more reasonable product structure,select materials,process routes,design parameters and improve the performance of belt drive.Aiming at the measuring requirements of the friction coefficient of belt drive in this paper,firstly,on the basis of systematically analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the current testing methods and testing devices for the friction coefficient of belt drive at home and abroad,aiming at the surface morphology of belt and pulley,the calculation model of the friction coefficient of belt drive has been established by using Coulomb model,and the factors such as the forming process of belt,the material of belt pulley and the surface roughness of pulley have been analyzed for the influence of friction coefficient.Secondly,according to the requirements of relevant standards on the test methods for the friction coefficient of belt drive,and a test device for the friction coefficient of belt drive,which can be used for both method of pulley rotation and method of belt movement,has been designed by using combination innovation method.Then,based on the control requirements of the test device,the overall scheme of the control system has been designed.The hardware of the control system has been designed by using single-chip microcomputer and industrial personal computer.The software operation interface of the control system with the functions of friction forces data acquisition,analysis and calculation,curve drawing has been designed by using Visual Basic.Finally,it is verified by experiments that the test device of the friction coefficient of belt drive after processing and debugging meets the requirements in terms of the measurement accuracy and the repeatability.And on the test bench,the effects of a series of factors on the friction coefficient has been tested.The test results have shown that the friction coefficient between belt and pulley increase in varying degrees with the increase of the test speed,the cross-section size of the belt,the wrap angle between belt and pulley,and the surface roughness of pulley.The analysis provides an important reference for the study of the friction coefficient of belt drive.
