The modular design of the prefabricated building increases design flexibility and saves construction costs.Based on the research of modular design ideas and BIM technology,this paper proposes a modular design strategy for fabricated buildings based on BIM technology.Research and analysis from the influencing factors of modular design,give full play to the advantages of modular design of fabricated buildings.This paper focuses on the analysis of the connotation and characteristics of modular design of assembly building and the application of BIM technology.On the one hand,starting from the background of the modular design of fabricated buildings,the research on the development status of modular design at home and abroad.The main theories are sorted out,the architectural characteristics and advantages are systematically analyzed,and the system classification,constituent elements and architectural advantages of modular design of assembly building are discussed.The application of modular design in real buildings is analyzed and studied through literature cases and field investigation cases.After the author's analysis,the following main problems are put forward,such as the change of design thinking,the standardization of module design,the contradiction between design and construction technology,etc.On the other hand,starting with BIM technology,this paper studies the theoretical and methodological system of BIM,and puts forward the application advantages of BIM in modular design of assembled buildings,including building integrated design,building standard information base,and adapting to the trend of complex changes of buildings.Therefore,the application of BIM technology in the modular design of fabricated buildings is emphasized.Combining modular design theory and BIM technology,the article discusses the design strategy from three aspects: modular design analysis,module unit and component design,module combination and shape design.The first aspect is the analysis of modular design.The analysis of the design elements can clarify the main factors of modular design,and then study its constituent elements and propose corresponding design strategies in a targeted manner.The second aspect is to introduce the standardization design of the module unit and its module components by introducing standardization ideas,and introduce the BIM standard database to meet the versatility and adaptability of the modular design.The third aspect is to propose the flexibility of the modular unit in the spatial form and combination mode,and combines BIM to solve the problems caused by the complexity of the building and broaden the scope of use of the building.Finally,based on the author's participation in the modular design of the fabricated building,the practical application of the design strategy mentioned in this paper is carried out.Based on the theoretical research and practical exploration,the modular design strategy of the assembled building based on BIM is carried out.The results of refining and summarizing provide a useful design reference for the application of BIM technology and modular design.
