With the rapid growth of the total mileage of electrified railways and the rapid development of high-speed railway,it is of great significance to pay attention to a series of problems faced by the safe,stable and continuous operation of railways.Among them,how to effectively solve the icing problem of catenary and ensure the safe operation of locomotives in winter has become a widespread concern of all departments.At present,DC thawing or mechanical deicing can cause traffic interruption.Considering the huge passenger traffic today,it is of great significance to deicing effectively without affecting the driving conditions.And it is particularly urgent to study on-line anti-icing and ice-melting technology of catenary,and to realize on-line anti-icing of catenary,supplemented by ice-melting.Firstly,by analyzing the expressions of heat terms on the surface of contact wire during icing,the thermal equilibrium equations of contact wire in anti-icing state and ice-melting state are established respectively,and the anti-icing current and ice-melting current of contact wire are calculated.By calculating the current distribution coefficient of catenary,the critical antiicing current and the ice-melting current of the catenary are obtained.Considering the worst environmental conditions,it verifies that anti-icing can be operated on-line and melting ice should be operated off-line from two aspects of current carrying capacity and voltage loss.After that,the on-line anti-icing scheme of catenary based on SVG is studied in detail in this paper.In order to save equipment investment,an on-line anti-icing scheme based on TCR + TSC hybrid SVC is proposed,which uses passive compensation equipment to replace SVG.The overall structure and control strategy of the system are given.Aiming at the severe icecovered area,a scheme using mobile SVG ice-melting equipment or SVC ice-melting equipment is proposed.Finally,the parameters of anti-icing and melting schemes based on SVG and TCR+TSC hybrid SVC are designed respectively,and the corresponding simulation models of single-line direct supply system are built on the platform of MATLAB/Simulink.The scheme is validated under anti-icing and melting conditions.The simulation results show that both the anti-icing schemes based on SVG and TCR+TSC hybrid SVC can meet the anti-icing requirements.Under the condition of ice-melting,the two ice-melting schemes can also generate the required ice-melting current to meet the design requirements.Suitable schemes can be selected according to specific technical and economic requirements,and effective schemes can be provided for catenary practitioners under different conditions,which has certain significance in preventing catenary from ice disaster.
