In winter of south and north of our country, it exists a phenomenon of icing from liquid water to ice, which is a common role in air temperature. air humidity and wind speed of formation. Icing is a natural disaster to electrified railway. It can lead to an abnormal acquisition of current by pantograph, what’s more, it can cause pantograph damaged or broken. It will have enormous impact on the security of trains and operating time table at the same time. Because the problem above is more serious in the high speed railway whose speed is higher than 200km/h.The model of anti-icing, icing, melting ice in catenary is studied according to the phenomenon mentioned above. The critical anti-ice current and melting ice current are deduced. What’s more, three different anti-ice, melting programs on catenary are considered and compared, and their advantages and limitations are summarized. Finally, anti-ice, melting system on catenary is designed based on SVG.Firstly, the model of anti-icing, icing, melting ice in catenary is studied in the thesis. and the critical anti-ice current and melting ice current are deduced and then whether the anti-ice and ice melting system can run online is verified. Secondly, three different anti-ice, melting programs on catenary, including Paralleling Reactors, Paralleling SVC and Paralleling SVG, are explored and compared, and their advantages and limitations are summarized. Finally, control strategy of SVG and chosen of capacity and parameters are studied and two scheme of anti-ice, melting system based on SVG on catenary is put forward. The simulation model of SVG and traction power supply system is built to verify whether the system can achieve the desired effect of anti-ice and ice melting, which is to provide a reference on catenary anti-ice and ice melting on spot.
