As an important part of the rail transport,electrified railway has been to develop rapidly in recent years.In winter and early spring,railway catenary icing is one of the most serious natural disaster for the normal operation of the electrified railway.The railway catenary icing will affect the pantograph obtain current normally,causing the electric locomotive not running properly,or even damage the pantograph.If the railway catenary ice seriously,the load capacity of the line will exceed design requirement,leading line collapsed,resulting economic losses of traction power supply system.At present,in the most areas of our country still adopts the artificial method of removing the ice,both consume a large amount of labor and a waste of time,in order to improve operational safety and efficiency of traction network,melting ice catenary systems based on MMC are designed in this paper,and gives melting ice solutions for different icing objects.Firstly,according to the established model of ice,constructed thermal balance equation of catenary icing.Impedance calculation the ice-melting current and time,and calculate the impedance of given traction network model;Secondly,for catenary prone to problem of glaze nearby the station and other buildings like bridge and tunnel,presents a program of melting ice based on low-power modular multi-level converter.Operate the principle,the topology of the characteristics of the MMC and the corresponding current control strategy;Once again,present a program of melting ice that rime appear in a single traction power arm,and design a kind of equipment based on single-phase MMC for electric railway.Improve the control strategy of single-phase MMC capacitor voltage balance and circulation inhibition.Design and select the parameters of the program and installed capacity;Then,for severe rime on catenary,and the circumstances leading to the power supply section of traction substation absence of normal supply,gives the programs and measures on handoff melting ice and calculate parameters of ice melting device.Finally,build a simulation model of ice melting system in MATLAB software.And analysis the simulation results of the three programs.Simulation results show that icing scheme for different objects to solve local building near the station,single supply arms icing and handover power icing,the control current maximum on the icing line,to achieve maximum efficiency of melting ice.Meets the requirements of catenary melting ice.It can provide a reference for future railway electrification melting ice reality applications.
