The Study On The Applicability Of Small Block Planning

The planning method of the small block was born in the construction of the new city under the influence of the new urbanism in the United States.In the past 10 years,the concept of planning and construction of the small block was implemented in the planning and construction of the core area of Chenggong New Town.In 2016,the national level proposed "Narrow street area",the planning mode of small block area has become the focus of research,that is,the origin of this study.Through the analysis of related research dynamics,the characteristics of the planning mode of the small block are summarized.Taking the core area of Chenggong New City as the research object,the comparative study is used to analyze the problems in the planning and implementation of the planning mode of the small block,and analyze it from the theoretical and implementation levels.The applicability of planning practice in the construction of new cities in China,summarizing the problems that are not applicable,and further thinking about the application and optimization suggestions for the implementation and application of the planning mode of the new city small block.The research framework is“Characteristics of Small Block Planning Models–Comparative Analysis of Implementation of Chenggong New City – Analysis of Applicability Issues”.The research focuses on theoretical combing and analysis of applicability issues.The theoretical part systematically combs the characteristics of the contemporary small block planning mode through the literature induction;from the multi-dimensional perspective,it systematically summarizes the four major characteristics of the road network structure,block scale,land development and spatial form of the small block plan,including the block scale.With road design and land use as the core of the analysis.Based on the planning practice of Chenggong New City,the practice analysis research systematically analyzes the planning content and implementation applicability of the small block planning,and conducts systematic research on the planning and implementation of the small block.Through the comparative study of domestic and international cases,and summarizing the differences in the implementation of small block planning,the system is carried out to analyze the applicability of the small block planning mode in Chenggong New City.The contradictions of the implementation are systematically sorted out and the optimization suggestions are put forward.Taking Chenggong New City as an example to study the implementation of the planning mode of small block from multiple perspectives,and proposing the appropriation optimization proposal of the relative small block planning mode in the construction of new city.The next step in the construction of the core area of the new city and the planning mode of the small block provide a useful reference for the implementation of the new city.
