Satellite phased array antennas have always been a popular research direction in various countries.Millimeter wave phased array antenna has the advantages of short beam switching time,fast beam configuration,multi-beam realization,wide available bandwidth and high reliability,and has been rapidly applied and developed in various fields.However,due to the short wavelength,the channel spacing of MMW phased array antenna is generally small,which requires MMW phased array antenna,especially its T/R component,to have a high degree of integration.Although the millimeter wave phased array antenna and its T/R components have been developed for many years,the satellite phased array antenna and its T/R component technology is just start in millimeter wave.Aiming at the application requirement,this paper designs T/R component based on Ceramic substrate,LTCC substrate,multifunctional microwave integrated circuit?MMIC?,vector modulator?VM?and multi-channel DAC with anti-irradiation capability,which works in K-band.The component adopts vacuum eutectic welding,gold wire bonding,laser seam welding and other processes,and designs for reliability to meet high reliability requirements.At the same time,considering that the load platform has high requirements for the volume,weight and power consumption of the T/R component,the volume of the T/R component is compressed by LTCC high integrated substrate technology in the design,and the passive transition loss is designed and analyzed in detail.The gold belt wrapping transition and the GSG?ground-signal-ground?transition are adopted to optimize the Signal transmission performance,so as to ensure that the performance of the component meets the design requirements of the index.In order to ensure the high reliability of the T/R component,the component adopts vacuum eutectic welding process instead of conductive silver paste bonding process.And the laser seam welding process is used for gas seal welding of the component,which makes the product less affected by the external environment in the long-term working process.Finally,under the traction of the project,the physical product verification and testing were carried out.The measured results show that the T/R component realizes the output power of the transmitting(P-1)is greater than 18.3 dBm,the noise figure is better than 3.9dB,the emission gain is greater than 29 dB,the receiving gain is greater than requirement of 24 dB.
