Research On Color Conservation Of Outstanding Historical Buildings In Shanghai Universities

There is a large amounts of well-known institutions of higher learning with a long history in Shanghai,which has retained a considerable number of outstanding historical buildings.Due to the unique history of the development of modern Shanghai city,Shanghai has evolved a unique historical architectural style with hosted historical and cultural,artistic values,cultural atmosphere,especially for the excellent historical buildings on the university campus.With the progress of the times,the university campus has been through the changes.Some serious issues including the use of an excellent historical building features,cultural heritage,artistic value are attracting more attention in the modern architecture design.Among these characteristics,color as an integral part of an excellent historical building is the one of the most influencing factors for reproduced history,as well as architectural beauty of art,analysis of regional culture building itself.In this thesis,color science and building is firstly developed to analyze the historical development of Shanghai university architecture and color characteristics.Secondly,the designer's characteristics as well as regional cultural identity & materials availability is proposed to explain the Shanghai cause of the old building from a historical perspective.By analyzing the color characteristics of XuHui excellent historical buildings located in Shanghai Jiao Tong University,the color maintenance approach is finally proposed to maintain the excellent historical characteristics in university buildings.
