In recent years,design and production capability of internal shipbuilding industry increase by a big margin.More and more companies can build special vessel with high technology and high value-added.Compared with the brand advantage of shipyard in Japanese and Korea,internal company adopt a low price to order receiving.According successful delivery of partly 83000 m~3 VLGC,internal shipbuilding company break the technology monopoly of Japanese and Korea company.Normally,84000 m~3 VLGC designed by Jiangnan shipyard,is circumsail,single deck,single rudder and single blade,actuated by low-speed diesel engine.Engine room lies in the stern,and there are four cargo holds before engine room,every hold have a Type-A single tank,which is connected to main hull structure by many specific supports.Based on the author’s work and construction experience before delivery of the eight VLGC,this issue analysis and study production design technology of large VLGC,expound construction key point about 84 thousand m~3 VLGC in different stage,include assembly stage,erection stage and checking stage.On this basis,it accumulate more experience for internal shipbuilding company and provide workable study for better production in earlier stage.
