Study On The Affecting Factors Of The Traditional Settlement Spaces Of Qiang Village

The Qiang traditional settlements have a long history and distinctive characteristics which occupy an extremely important position in the national settlements of our country.Some phenomena exist in the Qiang settlement spaces,such as divorced from ecological superiority,loss of traditional culture,and so on under the background of rapid urbanization.At present,the lack of systematic overview of the relevant researches on the Qiang traditional settlement space.It is not only beneficial to further enrich the related research on the settlement space in different regions,but also to protect and inherit the traditional settlement of the Qiang traditional settlements by digging into the affecting factors of the Qiang traditional settlement spaces deeply.This research attempted to take Taoping Qiang Village as an example.The composition and affecting factors of Taoping Qiang Village are analyzed under the three spatial scales of "morphologic pattern","neighborhood group" and "residential unit" by using the research methods of grid unit,spatial streamline and plane composition.Furthermore,by correlating the affecting factors in different spatial scales,the interaction between affecting factors in different spatial scales were further analyzed.The research results show that: First,the affecting factors of the Qiang traditional settlements are different in different spatial scales.The natural geography factor is dominant under "morphologic pattern",behavioral activities and architectural forms are the dominant factors of "neighborhood group" and "residential unit".Second,the affecting factors of Qiang traditional settlement spaces have the continuity from top to bottom in space scale.Third,the affecting factors of Qiang traditional settlement spaces have the accumulation of bottom to top in space scale.The research provides a reference case for the Qiang traditional settlements,and provides scientific basis for the protection and development of Qiang traditional settlement spaces.
