As a comprehensive art that integrates painting and calligraphy,Chinese classical garden art,is closely related to Chinese traditional painting in many aspects.They have influenced and infiltrated each other in the development of thousands of years.It not only has a similar development of history,but also have a similar theory,thinking,composition elements,and even performers.The blending is based on the view of Chinese philosophy,nature,and aesthetics,also it reflects the common aesthetic consciousness of Chinese traditional art.Therefore,the study of this topic has guiding significance for the in-depth understanding of traditional art.Firstly,Chinese culture emphasizes the affinity to nature and the pursuit of the spiritual realm.In those days,many people are eager to return to nature and seek spiritual hometown.Therefore,it is necessary to study Chinese classical gardens and traditional paintings which pursue the true interest and feelings of nature.This also will provide a new perspective for people nowadays to understand the way of traditional gardens.Secondly,the studies on classical gardens and paintings,are more focused on the impact of painting on gardens.There are not comprehensive researches focused on the interaction and common characteristics of gardens and paintings.The preconditions and reasons research on the similarity between the two arts which seem to be very different is not involved.These studies are some thoughts and explorations on the above issues which seem to be unique in this field.Finally,the author's graduation work is also closely related to gardens.The research on this topic is also of great help to the author's creation.Even in the Song and Yuan Dynasties,there was a saying that " Paradise in Heaven,Suzhou and Hanzhou on earth" and that "The Jiangnan gardens are the best in the world,and Suzhou gardens are the best in the Jiangnan ",which is enough to show that Suzhou gardens have an extraordinary position in Chinese gardens,that is thereason why we chose Suzhou gardens.The gardens mentioned in this paper refer to Suzhou classical gardens,and Chinese painting also refers to traditional Chinese painting.This paper begins the topic with the second chapter,which elaborates the fundamental prerequisite of the integration of Suzhou classical gardens and traditional Chinese painting from the view of traditional Chinese philosophy,natural and aesthetic.Chapter three is about the integration of traditional Chinese painting and classical gardens in Suzhou.Firstly,based on the similar philosophical,natural and aesthetic views of painters and gardeners under the big cultural background,and even some painters directly participate in gardening,in which gardening is landscape building and painting is a planning of garden,both of them present "second nature" in different forms,so Suzhou classical gardens and traditional Chinese paintings have resonance in many respects.This chapter elaborates the theoretical intersection of painting and gardening;then,the author discusses the resonance from the aspect of primary and secondary,virtual and real,hiding and showing techniques in the composition;furthermore,it analyses the common understanding of the two in the artistic construction from the effect pursuit;finally,it argues the relationship between Suzhou gardens and traditional Chinese painting.Chapter four is the author's perception and views on the relationship between his own creation and this topic.The fifth chapter draws the conclusion: Suzhou classical gardens and traditional Chinese paintings have the same precondition,also it resonates and mingles with each other,interacting in the development.
