Research On Adaptive Reuse Design Of Industrial Heritage Transformed Into Rental Apartments

Industrial heritage has witnessed the earth-shaking changes that have taken place in society since the Industrial Revolution and formed the basis of the existing scape of most cities today.In the 1960 s,people began to rethink the urban renewal model of large-scale demolition and construction.The reuse of these modernistic and historical buildings began to be accepted by the society and promoted worldwide.Although China's adaptive reuse of industrial heritage started late,it has developed rapidly and has high market potential.Since 2015,with the support of policies and the positive response of the market,the project of transforming industrial heritage into rental apartments in China has developed rapidly,providing a new living experience for young white-collar workers in many first-and secondtier cities.However,there have been many problems in this process.The mentality of the developers' quick profit has led to poor design of many projects and neglecting the inherent historical connotation of industrial heritage.This not only does not guarantee the quality of living in rental apartments,but also is not conducive to the effective preservation of urban features.In this context,this thesis takes the rental apartment transformed by industrial heritage as the research object,tries to summarize the transformation design method and applicable conditions suitable for China,and provides reference for the development and construction of such projects in the future.This article is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,which clarifies the purpose,content and significance of the research.It explains the origin of the research on the design of the rental apartment in the adaptive reuse of industrial heritage,and briefly summarizes the relevant research at home and abroad.The second chapter,as the preliminary study of this thesis,summarizes the development history of industrial heritage protective renewal and the legal protection system of each country.Then analyzes the transformation value and design principle of industrial heritage.The third chapter studies the international development process and the domestic market status by means of literature analysis and field research,then uses the questionnaire survey method to calculate the demand elements of the tenants in the rental apartment.Based on the field research and user feedback,the fourth chapter analyzes the adaptability conditions of China's industrial heritage transformation into rental apartments.And it explains the development and design in terms of location,site environment,building space and building quality;then analyzes the pros and cons of the current market prospects.The fifth chapter is based on the previous texts.It summarizes the design goals;then combines the architectural expertise and excellent examples at home and abroad,provides a systematic design strategy for the transformation of industrial heritage into rental apartments.Finally,the research results of the whole thesis are summarized,and suggestions for the future industrial heritage renovation design into rental apartments are put forward.
