The interface bonding state of asphalt aggregate is considered to be the key factor that directly affects the overall performance of asphalt pavement.As a direct layer of resistance to external wheel load,wear and impact,the surface abrasion layer has strict requirements for the performance of stone and mixture.For this reason,basalt,diabase and other basic and neutral aggregates are often used as surface aggregates in practical projects to ensure the quality of highgrade pavement.However,due to the scarcity of resources and limited reserves,there is a huge gap between the demand for pavement construction and the supply of surface materials.The scarcity of aggregate resources of high quality surface layer has become the bottleneck problem of engineering quality and engineering cost of asphalt surface layer of expressway.However,acidic aggregates such as granite,sandstone and quartzite,although hard and abrasive,can meet the wear resistance and bearing capacity requirements of asphalt pavement surface layer.However,due to its weak interface adhesion with asphalt,asphalt film is easy to be affected by water damage and fall off,resulting in pits,loose and other damage.Therefore,through effective production technology,the adhesion defect between acid aggregate and asphalt can be improved,and the application of rich and cheap acid stone in the construction of high-grade highway asphalt surface layer is the breakthrough to solve the problem of scarcity of high-quality surface layer aggregate.At present,the measures to improve the adhesion between asphalt and aggregate mainly include adding anti-stripping agent or adopting asphalt system with better adhesion effect.However,the traditional adding technology of anti-stripping agent mainly improves the performance of mineral aggregate by direct investment,which is difficult to effectively disperse in asphalt mixture.And some powder anti-stripping agent,even in the mixing process will produce agglomeration,greatly affect the effect of use.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore suitable modifier and modification process for improving the road performance of the mixture,expanding the application surface of acid stone and reducing the cost of highway construction and maintenance.By studying the mechanism of aggregate surface modification,this project independently developed two kinds of oil-soluble and water-soluble modifiers.On this basis,a comparison test evaluation scheme of modified asphalt with high viscosity was designed.Through experimental study,the improvement effect of adhesion and the high temperature performance,water stability,fatigue performance and low temperature performance of the modified mixture were analyzed.Then,the modification process and special modification equipment of the mixing building were designed,and the modification process and control points were summarized.Finally,by relying on the guangfo river fast passageway--jiangmen section,the test section of each modification scheme was paved.Through laboratory analysis combined with long-term performance observation,it was verified that the modification effect was good,which should have high promotion value.
