It has been widely used that adding anti-stripping agent is one of most effective measuresto improve the adhesion of asphalt and aggregate. Previous study evaluate asphaltanti-stripping agent performance through mixture water stability,which is often incomplete.Although the purpose to add anti-stripping agent is to prevent road from water damage,it isunreasonable to improve the water stability of asphalt mixture at the cost of substantiallydamage to heat, cold, and durable asphalt pavement road performance.It has been nocomprehensive evaluation to assess influence of anti-stripping agent to roadperformance,especially to asphalt performance.To evaluate the effect of anti-stripping agent on the asphalt road performance, we usedomestic evaluation systems and the SHAP evaluation system for experimental research.Domestic evaluation system: by testing asphalt of Esso, SBS modified asphalt, SBR modifiedasphalt, FH modified asphalt the conventional indicators before and after the adding thePA-1anti-stripping agent, we can find the index changes to reflect the performance of asphaltthe road. The SHAP evaluation system: we studied the rheological properties of thosementioned asphalt after anti-stripping agent being added, and at the same time, we give a PGgrade to those asphalt binder with reference to American Superpave Asphalt binder gradespecification.The experimental data show that:Anti-stripping agent can improve the way of the asphalt with comprehensiveperformance, and has a single modification agent does not have the advantage. PA-type1anti-stripping agent there the dose of the best value, in the range of0.3%~0.4%in the effectis good. In this dose range, the anti-stripping agent on the esso matrix asphalt modifiedasphalt, SBR, SBS modified asphalt and FH modified asphalt the PG rating had no significanteffect, but also can improve the asphalt water stability. But add too much or too littleanti-stripping agent with the asphalt pavement effect is poorer, therefore suggest the upperlimit of common asphalt, modified asphalt is take limit.
