As the current situation of greenhouse effect has become severe,people have higher requirements of a comfortable outdoor space of the buildings,so it draws a social attention.A good courtyard’s natural ventilation not only effectively improves the air quality in the courtyard,but also decreases the surface temperature of the building,which is one of the most important energy-saving strategies of green buildings.Besides,the progressing time period of modern architecture design industry is shorter than ever before,and it is common that many projects’ wind environment design break away its original design.Therefore,seeking for an effective and an efficient method to monitor the courtyards’ wind environment quality becomes an important research direction of the present time.This dissertation is based on the research of Pearl River Delta’s climate features,and used a system which is suitable for assessing this area ’ s outdoor wind environment for reference.The dissertation obtained the data of wind environment surface and criterion of comfortable wind,and use it to establish the grade evaluation of comfortable wind environment based on PHOENICS graphs.The dissertation analyses the existing researches of building’s enclosed space,to find quantitative factors,to create the standards of enclosed degree,and to quantify the factors of forming a courtyard space.The dissertation provides a quantitative index for the research of the influence and patterns of the comfortable wind environment of buildings ’ enclosed space.Besides,it concludes the models of window-open modes,the shape of the structure’s integrity and different heights of rooftops.Selecting a group of representitive samples to form a three dimensional modelling,which provides a basic model for Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD).Under the influence of dynamic changes of building wind environment,based on simulating the calculation of different enclosed factors of PHOENICS software,then obtained the critical value of assessing the courtyard’s wind environment through analysis of conducting the control experiment under different settings of enclosed factors.Using Photoshop to analyze graphs which are obtained from the result of the calculation,consisting of the standards of wind environment assessment to get the data which shows the influence of the changes of enclosed factors to courtyard wind environment.In the final part of this dissertation,the outcoming data of simulating calculations will be integrated.Using pie charts,line graphs and averaging method to analyze the experimental figures,in order to obtain a diagram which shows the interconnected relations of the enclosed degree and the comfortable wind environment,and to obtain an express calculation method to calculate the courtyard ’ s comfortable wind environment through enclosed degree.This method is approved in the instance analysis,which provides directions and strategies to rapidly optimaze the wind environment in the first stage of design,and allows the wind environment assessment and the plan change simultaneously,so that the conflicts in the time duration of calculations,analysis and the period of adjusting the plan can be alleviated.
