Research On The Water Landscape Of Xi'an Park Based On The Perspective Of Vitality

In light of Athens Charter,recreation is one of fundamental functions of the city,apart from residence,work and transportation.In the wake of increasing demand on leisure and entertainment raised by urban residents,the importance of the urban park becomes particular clear.There is a saying related to classical Chinese gardens,"it is a park with the mountains;it is not landscape without water".Being one of the components of the park,the vitality of water landscape in the park plays a significant role.Nonetheless,the water landscape in parks of Xi'an City has been confronted with problems such as lack of vitality or excessive vitality.In order to address the above problems,the paper introduces the communication distance indicator to build the evaluation system of the vitality of water landscape in parks through combining the qualitative and quantitative methods.The big data technology is further incorporated to ultimately evaluate the vitality status of water landscape of parks so as to lead to corresponding construction strategies based on evaluation results.For a start,through straightening out literature pertinent to vitality of water landscape in parks and design elements of landscape,indicators of vitality and landscape visual elements are proposed under the premise of defining the definition,connotation and denotation of vitality,which lays a theoretical foundation for subsequent parts.Second,by studying water landscape visual elements and vitality status in Xi'an City,the paper summarizes existing problems in the water landscape of parks in Xi'an City as well as influencing factors of vitality.Third,a system to evaluate the vitality of water landscape of parks in Xi'an City is established.Fourth,The Second District of City Wall Relics of Tang Dynasty Park in Xi'an City is selected as a case to examine the feasibility of relative methods and technology in its design.The paper utilizes the "human vision view" analysis method,instead of the "bird's eye view" that is adopted by existing research,to come up with landscape visual elements that exert influence of vitality of water landscape of parks as well as the quantitative relationship between the two.The indicator of communication distance is introduced to establish the evaluation system of vitality status so as to lead to related construction strategies.
