With the acceleration of China's urbanization process,the contradiction between land resources and population growth becomes more and more serious.In order to meet the housing demand of more people and better solve the housing problem,small dwelling-size house also appears.Living space miniaturization is response to the current contradictions more effective measures,Small dwelling-size house relatively Large dwelling-size house has incomparable advantages,such as the price is cheap,the former can change the space more flexible and so on.Although the small dwelling-size house has a certain market,a lot of small dwelling-size house space in the market layout of a single,failed to receive a space,space utilization,streamline a series of problems such as unreasonable and lack the systematic research.Because of the above reasons,the innovation of the small dwelling-size apartment space design become the pressing demand of the day.The aim of this article is to pay attention to the small dwelling-size apartment space design which adapt to the needs of modern life.After analyzing the research status of small dwelling-size apartment space design,the necessity of innovating small dwelling-size apartment space design in Chinais put forward.Through questionnaire surveys,field research and other methods to compare different types of the small dwelling-size apartments,and summed up the living needs of small dwelling-size apartment space and existing problems,in-depth analysis of small dwelling-size apartment space design characteristics,and then lead to small dwelling-size apartment space design innovation.In the key part of this article,combining with the content of "the field of form and meaning" theory about space design,this article puts forward the design strategy and design innovation principle suitable for small dwelling-size apartment space,and expands the application of "the field of form and meaning" theory in small dwelling-size apartment space.The design strategy and principle are tested through two practical cases of small dwelling-size apartment space design.Finally,according to the current social development,we can foresee the future development of small dwelling-size apartment space design and the further research direction of this subject are prospected.The using of small dwelling-size apartment space is good for solving the contradiction between population growth and land resources,although small dwelling-size house has smaller space than large dwelling-size house,people's needs in lifeand use will not reduce.This article combines the theory of "the field of form and meaning" to create a more humanized living environment for the owners of houses and improve the comfortable sensation,openness and happiness of the interior space,finally improve the overall living standards of people.
