Abstract/Summary:
Guangzhou is the first batch of historical and cultural cities announced by China,and its history can be traced back to 214 BC.As the birthplace of the Maritime Silk Road,the source of the modern revolution,the frontier of the Reform and Opening-up,and the core of the Guangdong,Hong Kong,Macao Great Bay Area,Guangzhou is a representative of China’s southern cities with its characteristics of politics,economy and culture background.Since 1949,especially since the Reform and Opening-up,the living environment of Guangzhou urban residents has been greatly improved,but the whole city is faced with the phenomenon of disorder and lack of features.Guangzhou city’s central axes are the important part of Guangzhou’s urban characteristics.Their change process recorded and transmitted political information,economic information,social information and cultural information of Guangzhou’s urban development in different historical periods.Studying on the change of the central axes of Guangzhou city from the perspective of architectural aesthetic adaptability is an important measure to implement the protection of historical and cultural cities and the double revision of cities and implement the national cultural development strategy.Based on the aesthetic adaptability theory of architectural aesthetics,this paper draws on the research results of urban and rural planning,anthropology,geography,demography and other disciplines,and analyzes the natural adaptability of urban axes from the perspectives of climate,geography and environment;discuss the social adaptability of the urban central axis from economic,political and cultural the military and other aspects;explore the humanistic adaptability of the urban central axis from the aspects of thinking,design,and aesthetic pursuit.This paper uses a combination of cultural and architectural aesthetics,multidisciplinary and cross-integrated research.For different contents,scientific methods such as field investigation method,qualitative analysis method,statistical method,literature method,analytic hierarchy process,and information research method are adopted reasonably.Using the literature method,qualitative analysis method and information research method,this paper analyzes the aesthetic adaptability of the ancient central axis change in Guangzhou from three aspects: landscape,ritual demand and business developments;using statistical method and analytic hierarchy process,from internal and external communication,new city and area development,also the Chinese and Western style are used to analyze the aesthetic adaptability of modern urban central axis changes in Guangzhou;using field investigation method,information research method and statistical method,analyze Guangzhou city’s aesthetic adaptability of modern central axis changes from three aspects: ecological protection,economic development and inherited from the traditional culture.This paper compares the aesthetic adaptability characteristics of Guangzhou city central axes transition,compares the central axis of Paris,Brasilia,Athens,Beijing,Datong,Pingyao,Suzhou and other cities,and concludes that natural adaptability is the basic of urban and urban central axes.Social adaptability is the root and power of urban and urban central axes’ development.Humanistic adaptability is the goal and ultimate pursuit of urban and urban central axes development.The adaptability study of the change of the central axes of Guangzhou city is different from the usual study of urban history and characteristic urban landscape.It pays more attention to the changing characteristics of the central axes of the city and explores the relationship between the aesthetic adaptability and the form of the urban axes.The study provides materials for the future protection of the historical and cultural city of Guangzhou base on the central axes of Guangzhou.
