In recent years,with the continuous deepening of China’s higher education,the rapid development of college construction,the richness of teaching forms and the continuous improvement of the needs of college students’ groups,the learning space environment of colleges and universities has also changed.However,there are still some shortcomings in the design of the learning space environment,which is difficult to adapt to the diversified behavioral needs of contemporary college students.Although there is a certain research on the environmental design of colleges and universities,there are few researches on the behavioral needs and environmental design of college students.The learning space environment is the main carrier of college students’ study and life.Its quality has a direct impact on college students.The study of the characteristics of college students’ behavioral characteristics has important research significance for the study of learning space environment design.Based on the relevant theories of environmental behavior,this paper has done a lot of research on the design of learning space environment.In the first part,the article clarifies the background significance of the research and the research methods,and summarizes the relevant theories of college students’ behavior characteristics and learning space environment.The second part is based on the environmental behavior theory to study the outstanding foreign cases.The study space conducts field research,and through the comparative analysis,it raises the possible problems in the current learning space.The third part systematically analyzes and summarizes the basic design elements of the university learning space environment,and discusses the spatial layout,interpersonal distance,privacy and field.The influence of sex,spatial color and light environment on college students’ behavior characteristics and their role in learning space environment.The fourth part puts forward three principles of learning space environment design,from three aspects:internal function layout,external space design and visual environment.Summarize the environmental design strategy that meets the behavioral needs of college students.From the perspective of college students’ behavior characteristics,the thesis studies the design of learning space environment,supplements the deficiency of the research on spatial environment theory of colleges and universities,and has certain reference value for environmental design.
