It has been a long time that Chinese bus manufacturers being suffering the problem of regulation difference,standard difference,technology difference between the Chinese buses and European market requirements.As a consequence,some of the customers of advanced countries start to feel some negative impressions of Chinese buses,which lead to a necessary and important step forward for Chinese bus manufactures to improve the product quality and prevent potential failure before the delivery procedure.Meanwhile,pollution project especially the automotive exhaust pollution has been raised to a focal point for all countries around the world.The exhaust system optimization is still one of the most important factor for pollution reduction before the new energy buses such as pure electrical,fuel cell buses come into widely service.This thesis starts with a fire accident investigation of the X model buses of K company,which also leads to a deeply study on the exhaust system of this bus.The study firstly starts by analyzing the entire current quality control procedure of the exhaust system in K company,divide it into three sub-procedures,the design procedure,material inspection and manufactured procedure,and after-sales procedure.Secondly,after the progressive analysis of the current status of each decomposition process of K company,the defects in each process or the areas that can be further improved can be recommended based on the in-depth analysis of the causes of this accident.Make corresponding optimization recommendations to each aspect of the defects existing in the original each process by combining DFMEA risk sequence of numerical(RPN),setting up new project responsibility matrix,the DMAIC method and steps in the six sigma theory,IATF16949 system process management.In addition,establishing the new key parts list,to control and standardize to production standards these key parts or systems such as the exhaust pipe.Making strict regulation of incoming material inspection requirements,technical design standards,process update of installation process documents,establishment of IPTV fault statistics and control process,a long-term and effective management system is built,so as to effectively control the design and installation of material itself and product structure and achieve the purpose of improving quality management.Eventually,these kind of key components problem can cause not only a negative impact on product quality,but also great concern and impact on brand fame.Therefore,with the increasingly fierce competition in the bus market,the in-depth study and improvement of such problems can help us better understand the properties and parameters of the after-treatment system of Euro 6 or Chinese national 6 engines,so as to avoid problems of similar systems in the subsequent products of the same type and play a positive role in product competitiveness in the years ahead.
