In recent years,accidental explosion and terrorist attack aiming at important buildings has been taking place all over the word,which shows that architectural glazing envelop can easily suffer from blast wave and cause a huge number of casualties and property loss.Therefore,security of glazing envelop of important buildings under blast loading has become a hot problem in the field of protective engineering and glass curtain wall day by day.Combined with the requirement of military research projects about protection of important buildings and a project of National Natural Science Fund-?Security assessment and blast-resistant strategies of urban traffic tunnels under blast loading?,this essay combines field explosion experiment and numerical simulation,blast wave of TNT charge toward building ? damage effect and dynamic response mechanism of different architectural glass under blast loading ? blast-resistant reinforcement technology of glazing film ? blast damage assessment of architectural glass are researched.Major research achievements are as follows:(1)Field explosion experiment building is designed and built to carry out the tests about blast loading toward building,a lot of test results are obtained.Numerical model of TNT charge-air-building is structured to study the occurrence?development of blast wave and the interaction mechanism between blast wave and building.By comparing the results of experiment and numerical simulation,the rule of blast loading toward building is found.(2)The experiments about blast-resistant characteristic of different architectural glass and reinforcement effect of glazing film are finished.It is indicated that ordinary insulating glass has low blast resistant ability while tempered insulating glass is better,blast-resistant characteristic of PVB laminated glass and SGP laminated glass is good.Anti-blast film can effectively stop glass fragment from flying out,improving blast-resistant characteristic of glass.Combined with the results of tests about blast loading toward building,threshold range of different architectural glass under blast loading is provided.Moreover,impulse data calculated from over-pressure waveform is compared with that calculated from empirical formula so that revised empirical formula is put forward.(3)Based on dynamic analysis software,ANSYS/LS-DYNA,finite element numerical models of different architectural glass is built.Dynamic response and damagemechanism of them under different TNT equivalence and different distance to the explosion center are analyzed.Deformation characteristic of glass panels under blast loading is analyzed through displacement time history curves of glass center.Parametric analysis is carried out by changing glass thickness,interlayer thickness,glass material,interlayer material.Influence rule of these parameters toward blast resistant characteristic of architectural glass is discussed.(4)Damage levels of laminated glass are defined,combined with the results of field explosion tests and numerical simulation,method of deflection-controlling is adopted to give deflection data on the central point of glass penal corresponding to each damage level.Based on large-deflection plate theory,expressions of overpressure and impulse asymptotic line on P-I curve are derived,and P-I curves corresponding to every damage levels of PVB laminated glass and SGP laminated glass are drawn.
