The construction of water conservancy and hydropower projects is an important matter related to the national economy and people's livelihood.After the completion of the dam leakage is related to the success of the reservoir storage,related to the success of the whole water conservancy and hydropower project.By using groundwater simulation software GMS and geotechnical engineering software MADIS GTS NX to carry out two-dimensional and three-dimensional seepage simulation analysis under three different working conditions for the Jiayan hydraulic engineering dam in Guizhou province,the following conclusions are drawn:?1?In the simulation analysis of the total infiltration head contour line,pore water pressure,seepage velocity,infiltration line and seepage flow path of the dam under three different working conditions.The simulation results obtained by MIDAS GTS from the three-dimensional perspective are more consistent with the reality,more accurate and more able to meet the design requirements than the simulation results obtained by GMS software from the two-dimensional perspective.?2?Through the seepage simulation analysis,it can be known that the seepage velocity obtained by the two dimensional and three dimensional analysis of the dam under three different working conditions is very small.Such a small seepage velocity will not bring the seepage failure phenomenon that endangers the safety of the dam,such as piping,flowing soil and contact erosion,etc.to the aggregate and dam foundation in each area of the dam.?3?Through seepage simulation analysis,it can be known the dam total seepage flow change range is 2.13x10-5m3/hr from 1.1x10-4m3/hr.The river flow in the dam site area is2.13x105m3/hr,and the total leakage accounts for a ratio of verty thin in the total flow of the river.So the small leakage is very small and will not bring any impact on the normal storage operation of the reservoir.?4?Through the seepage simulation analysis,it is known that the seepage form of the dam is mainly around the seepage,and the seepage amount is very small,which will not affect the normal operation of the dam.?5?The simulation analysis shows that the hydraulic gradient of the dam under three different working conditions is far less than the design allowable hydraulic gradient value,which indicates that the hydraulic gradient of the dam under three different working conditions will not bring any potential safety hazard to the dam foundation.In this paper,through the study of seepage analysis of the sandwiched-rock dam,it can be concluded that the groundwater simulation software GMS and MIDAS GTS NX can be combined to conduct the seepage simulation analysis of the dam in the soluble rock area from the perspective of 2Dand 3D.The results obtained from the simulation analysis have the advantages of strong visualization,high numerical accuracy and more authenticity.The results of groundwater simulation software GMS and MIDAS GTS are consistent with the conclusions of the dam site suspicious seepage condition analysis in this paper.Therefore,the combination of GMS and MIDAS GTS can be used as a method to simulate dam seepage in the soluble rock geomorphology area.
