Abstract/Summary:
Our perceptions and thinking about traditional agriculture is being changed by agriculture environmental issues such as reduced farmland, global climate change, water scarcity, sustained population growth and so on.Responding to various urban problems caused by urban development, the concepts of urban three-dimensional greening and urban agriculture are proposed by experts in different fields, which have eased the contradiction between ecology, food and society caused by urban problems. The urban three-dimensional farm is proposed to serve the development of urban agriculture further and improve the urban ecological space by means of agricultural science and technology. At the same time, the urban three-dimensional farms is still an emerging concept in the field of architectural design and urban planning, and it is also a challenge for architects at present that how to combine human needs with the urban ecological agriculture to solve urban environmental problems and curb the spread of ecological environmental crisis.People’s needs for various aspects of cities and buildings are also increasing to varying degrees with the acceleration of China’s urbanization process and the increase of the number of urban residents.Experts in the field of architectural design and urban planning are trying to solve spatial and environmental perceptions by introducing humanities such as psychology, humanity, semiotics, and humanism into the design.Considering Maslow demand theory has been applied to other industry sectors, construction industry should also make relevant attempts. Therefore,it has become a new topic in the field of architecture that how to meet the users’ physiological and psychological needs through the improvement of architectural space and urban environment to achieve a certain spiritual satisfaction.Based on Maslow’s theory of demand, this paper takes urban three-dimensional farms as the research object, explores the design concept of urban three-dimensional farms combining the progressive relationship of various levels of demand theory with the particularity of architectural types. This paper studies the background and basic concepts of urban three-dimensional farms and Maslow’s hierarchical demand theory by combing of a large number of architectural examples and conceptual designs at home and abroad, and on this basis, researches on the current situation of urban threedimensional farms and the connotation of Maslow’s hierarchical needs;it integrates the relevant design strategies for this type of building, and summarizes the design requirements and design methods, and then analyzes the relevant design elements of the urban three-dimensional farm based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Finally, through the case design and empirical analysis,it verifies the feasibility of the design concept. The purpose of this paper is to propose humanized design needs and concepts for urban new ecological buildings and under the premise of meeting technical requirements, upgrades the architectural ethics order to meet the different levels of people’s needs at different stages, and seeks new entry points for the design concept of urban new ecological architecture.
