This research intends to evaluate the buildability of high-rise buildings projects and was conducted in Gansu province,Lanzhou city. The current research intends to evaluate the buildability of high-rise buildings projects specifically in china, especially in Lanzhou;to assess the actual work attained in china's construction industry in terms of applying principles of buildability, investigate major factors hindering the proper implementation of buildability concept for high-rise buildings;and suggest solutions whenever possible and to evaluate the specific role to be played by the government to ensure proper application buildability principles. The data of this research were collected electronically by means of structured questionnaires with two hundred and one as a total number of participants involving academicians and field professionals. The assessment of buildability of any building projects is related to assess whether the proposed project is feasible for construction or not before it starts.Additionally speaking,High-rise buildings projects have complexities in terms of planning, designing and execution;which require the project management team the proper consideration of previous projects,to allow enough for buildability assessment before the project start and to have the maximum knowledge and experience of construction so as to ensure the intended structural stability, durability, safety and quality of the building. Finally, this research recommends the government to continue the enforcement of the legal environment regarding the industry by avoiding any unfair culture on the market such procuring the building projects based on “Guangxi/relationship” rather than on the successful bidder;and the use of pre-fabricated materials and advanced technology in a way to achieve the intended quality, cost and time delivery of the project.
