In the past 40 years of reform and opening up,with the increase of car ownership and the upgrading of residents'consumption structure,self-driving tourism has gradually increased in the proportion of national travel,becoming an important way of national tourism.This has brought a lot of demand for Regional Tourism Road construction.The construction of Scenic Byway System is an important direction for the development of regional tourism road.However,since the beginning of this century,the related research on Scenic Byway in China started relatively late.And the research content is mostly confined to the construction,management and evaluation of road monomers.The lack of systematic research on Scenic Byway System in the region can not meet the needs of rapid development of China's Scenic Byway construction practice.Taking Yakeshi City in Inner Mongolia as a benefit,this paper studies the contents and methods of the construction of regional Scenic Byway System by means of literature research,questionnaire survey and GIS spatial analysis,and tries to provide technical support for the construction of scenic road in China.The article starts from the following aspects:Firstly,it summarizes the successful theory and practical experience of foreign Scenic Byway System.Through summing up the theory and practice of foreign Scenic Byway System construction and the case study of Blue Ridge Scenic Byway in the United States,this paper provides experience and construction ideas for our country's Scenic Byway System.Secondly,it summarizes the theory and practice of Scenic Byway construction in China.Through combing the theoretical and practical course of the construction of Scenic Byway in our country,this paper recognizes the shortcomings of the theory research,compares and analyses the construction of Tianlu Scenic Byway with that of Greenway Network in Pearl River Delta,finds out the problems existing in the construction of Scenic Byway in our country,and points out the necessity and urgency of developing the study of Scenic Byway System.Thirdly,the composition of the regional Scenic Byway System is proposed.According to the spatial composition of Scenic Byway,the elements of the System are divided into three aspects:tourism resources,road system and service facilities.Fourthly,taking Yakeshi in Inner Mongolia as an example,this paper puts forward the basic framework and key contents of the construction of regional scenic road system.On the basis of fully considering the influence factors of Yakeshi road system,tourism resources,land use types and topographic conditions,the scenic lanes are selected by means of GIS spatial analysis tools.Based on the theory of Transportation Recreation Opportunity spectrum,the scenic lanes are classified into different types,and the service facilities satisfying the needs of the recreationists are arranged according to the classification results.It is hoped that this study can enrich the theoretical research of domestic Scenic Byway System and attract more scholars' attention on China's Scenic Byway.
