As a special building type with both cultural and commercial properties, traditional physical bookstore was mainly composed of book reading space and book purchasing space in the past. With the rise of the electronic age,high-tech media has become the carrier of efficient information exchange, which has a great impact on the development of physical bookstores. After experiencing difficulties, physical bookstores began to explore a new path of transformation and development. For traditional reading, the Internet has replaced only the part of information dissemination, but the sensory needs of potential buyers to touch and flip books, the perceptual experience of the bookstore space environment, and the resulting exchange of information, sharing of ideas and other communication activities cannot be replaced by the Internet. These requirements make the bookstore building should take the psychological activities and behavior patterns of consumers as an important factor to consider the design, that is,in addition to the basic book sales space, but also to provide additional cultural ancillary functions, and improve its spatial organization design strategy,in order to meet the needs of consumers experience. At present, after the transformation, new brick-and-mortar bookstores mostly combine the traditional reading space and diversified cultural formats, emphasize experiential development, and brick-and-mortar book sales are driven by the cultural and creative industry. The relevant theoretical research is still at the initial stage, and the research direction mainly focuses on discussing the design strategy of new brick-and-mortar bookstores from the perspective of architecture.Such research is subjective and not closely combined with the psychological needs and behavior patterns of consumers in bookstores. On the basis of previous studies, this paper USES the theory of consumer psychology to explore consumers' psychological and behavioral needs for the spatial organization of physical bookstores. The components to form a bookstore spatial organization system, and successful transformation of typical case for empirical research, the entity bookstore investigation to determine the transition space to the success of tissue logic and related influence factors, and tried to extract the corresponding spatial organization design strategies: external surface mediated the introduction of the interface to surround close, inner control, regional differentiation deconstruction, directivity guide behavior, sensory tension and dismantling. It is expected to supplement the theoretical gaps in relevant fields and provide references for the transformation and upgrading of traditional brick-and-mortar bookstores and the future development of new brick-and-mortar bookstores.
