A Study On The Comfort And Efficiency Of The Space In Nursing Unit From The Perspective Of The Nurses

In recent years,with the improvement of people’s living standards,people have put forward higher requirements for hospital service levels.As the most basic treatment unit of the hospital,the nursing unit has a very important impact on the quality of medical and health services.There have been many studies on the design of nursing units in domestic research,but most of them are patient-centered environmental design studies.However,a good nursing unit design must not only meet the needs of patients,but also take into account the needs of medical staff,improve the working environment of medical staff,improve the efficiency of nurses,and thus provide better services for patients’ rehabilitation.From the perspective of nurses,the design and optimization of the comfort and the efficiency of the space in nursing unit are explored from three aspects: the use of the space in nursing unit,the analysis of the comfort and efficiency of the space in nursing unit based on objective use status,and the subjective evaluation of the space in nursing unit by nurses.Firstly,three large-scale comprehensive tertiary hospitals in Anhui Province and Zhejiang Province were selected as the survey objects,and the nurses’ behavior were recorded through behavioral observation method to understand the use of nursing unit.Secondly,the correlation between the spatial characteristics of the nursing unit and the nurses’ behavior were explored through the on-site data collection of the surveyed objects,combined with behavior observation,software analysis and other results,then the comfort and efficiency of the space in nursing unit were analyzed from the perspective of objective use status.Finally,questionnaires and interviews were conducted among nurses from three hospitals to understand the nurses’ subjective evaluation of the efficiency and comfort of the space in nursing unit.The effects of space of different nursing units on nurses’ behavior and subjective evaluation of nurses were studied through literature collection,field measurement,behavioral observation,questionnaire survey and interviews in this paper,the problems of the efficiency and comfort of the nursing unit were revealed.Furthermore,the recommendations for the optimization of the comfortable and efficient nursing unit space environment were proposed from the perspective of the nurses.
