A large amount of abandoned slag will be generated during cutting excavation and tunnel excavation in railway construction projects.Abandoned slag should be considered for comprehensive utilization first.Abandoned slag that is difficult to utilize and cannot be comprehensively utilized,and surplus abandoned slag after comprehensive utilization will be stored in abandoned slag dump designed in the project.The abandoned slag dump set up in the railway construction project has a large amount of slag and will be discarded permanently.Slag is loose and broken.Improper management will aggravate soil erosion and damage the ecological environment.It may even become an inducing factor of geological disasters such as collapse,landslide and debris flow,threatening the safety of railway projects and people's lives and property.With the development of the times,more and more attention has been paid to environmental protection and soil and water conservation,and the laws and regulations related to environmental water conservation are also improving day by day.Railway construction projects are also increasingly pursuing ecological and environmental effects.In the actual project,there are still some problems in the management of abandoned slag dump,such as low comprehensive utilization rate of abandoned slag,serious phenomenon of illegal abandoned slag,insufficient grasp of stability of abandoned slag dump,and extensive management and other issues.Based on the analysis and research on the stability analysis methods of the abandoned slag dump,it is found that the limit equilibrium method is more in line with the engineering practice of the abandoned slag dump in China.The Swedish arc method and the simplified Bishop method,which are commonly used in the limit equilibrium method,are used to carry out detailed checking analysis on the abandoned slag dump in the transverse tunnel of Gongduoding tunnel,demonstrate the stable state of the abandoned slag dump,analyze the shortcomings of the two stability calculation methods,and put forward the problems that should be paid attention to in the stability analysis by using the limit equilibrium method.Based on the on-site investigation and the results of stability analysis and calculation,the management process of abandoned slag dump is combed.Due to the extensive management of abandoned slag dump at present,there are some hidden dangers.Therefore,this paper proposes that on the basis of strengthening process control management,stability analysis should be especially strengthened.The results ofstability analysis should be taken as the management basis of abandoned slag dump,and personalized management mode should be carried out according to the slag body characteristics of abandoned slag dump.And combined with the way of expert consultation,it puts forward solutions to the outstanding problems in the project,and provides optimization suggestions to the unreasonable places in the management of abandoned slag dump,to optimize management process,so as to promote and apply in the management of abandoned slag dump in railway construction projects.It is of great practical significance to provide reference for solving practical engineering problems,to make the management of abandoned slag dump more scientific and reasonable,to avoid illegal acts,to reduce soil erosion and ecological environment damage caused by abandoned slag dump,to maintain the safety and stability of abandoned slag dump,to ensure the smooth progress of the project and to prevent accident risks.
