"Co-constructing Of Mountains And Seas"-Study Of Island Rural Public Facilities System Design

The design of the public facilities on an island is an integral and systematic design process.At present,China is still at the initial stage in the development of island public facilities.Though with extremely strong regional characteristics,the public facilities are not systematic,artistic and personalized enough.Besides,they are also characterized by insufficient exploration of regional features and severe homogenization.Therefore,as for the problems like how to excavate the prototype of island public facilities,how to meet the great demand of island public facilities systematically,and how to make the plan of regional public facilities with regional thinking,it is particularly important to apply the Chinese concept of creation system of “Co-constructing of mountains and seas” to the design of island public facilities.This paper probes into four aspects: the concept,path,level and dimension of the systematic design concept of "Co-constructing of mountains and seas ".This paper also provides a deductive proof from the design practice.First of all,after sorting out the relevant research status about public facilities design,the presence of art in rural areas and other fields,it is found that the current research concerned mainly focuses on the case analysis at home and abroad with a lack of corresponding theoretical research.Through the field investigation and exploration of Xiangshan County in Ningbo Province,as well as the collating and analyzing of the local literature,the geographical creation-system design concept of "Co-constructing of mountains and seas" is put forward.With these as the basis,the author of this paper analyzes the creation path and the creation thinking of the concept " Co-constructing of mountains and seas ",discusses the “concrete-abstract-concrete” creation thinking mode and the "object-signifying – the sense of objects",sums up the "divergence" model of the creation and the double-drill-path creation rhythm,digs into the prototype of the regional characteristics of the island,and makes innovative creation design with“mountains and seas” as the intentional prototype.Secondly,this paper analyzes the excavating way and the “co-constructing” path with "mountains and sea" as the prototype of island objectives based on the regional characteristics of the island.Then,the reef is extracted as the intentional form of objective prototype,so as to do a three-level deduction of further creation: meaning digging,grammar creating and context reconstructing.Through a progressive model experiment,the features and elements of the “co-constructing” of “mountains andseas” are summarized at the aspects of form refining,concept diverging,scene creating,and function constructing.,which provides an effective promotion for the design practice in the following part.Finally,the paper elaborates on the design practice constructed from the perspective of “co-constructing of mountains and seas”,including the geographical way of creation,namely the daily excavation in the conceptual design level,the improvement of the convenience in the manufacturing and assembling level,and the expanding application in the brand communication level;the object-representing meaning of the reef-forming process,comprising interactive experience,combination of modules and retransmission of symbols;the daily dimension of object-using including the module design of the unit,the module design of the connection,the internal product design of the space,and the system design of island public facilities jointly constructed by multiple dimensions.An expectation is also made in this paper to the future island village design,which is expected to make a difference in communication,dissemination and inheritance,and to create a concerted,cohesive and harmonious environment for creating a symbiotic scene with objects,scenery and atmosphere all created.
