A Study On The Architectural Art Characteristics Of Liu’s Residence In Jincheng City

Shanxi has a long history,unique geographical conditions make many ancient buildings intact preservation,among them,the Shanxi merchants compound as the representative,the scale of the building,with a strong historical heritage and artistic characteristics.However,with the rapid development of urbanization,many representative houses,dwellings,mansions and other ancient buildings are disappearing quietly,and the booming tourism industry also makes some traditional dwellings go to the road of excessive commercialization.In such a realistic background,it is of great significance to protect traditional dwellings.Liu’s residence,located in Xi Wenxing Village,Qinshui County,Shanxi Province,is the legacy of Tang Dynasty poet Liu Zongyuan,and is the typical representative of residential architecture in southeastern Shanxi Province.Its unique "four big and eight small"-style courtyard layout,ploughing and reading the family,pursuing the natural cultural characteristics,elegant and modest architectural decoration,introverted and seclusive architectural style,with strong regional characteristics and very high research value.In the study of Shanxi residential houses,more attention has been paid to Shanxi merchants’ houses and official mansions.Usually Shanxi merchants residence majestic,architectural decoration glamorous,in order to show the status of businessman’s financial capacity;official residence architecture is usually solemn,reflected in the high,can not overrun the rank status.As the architectural house of literati,Liu’s residence is elegant and implicit,integrated with nature,with the elegant and modest architectural characteristics of literati,it is different from others.By collecting and sorting out a large number of data related to traditional houses and Liu’s residence,this paper carefully combs the literature and finds the corresponding theoretical support.Combined with the existing professional knowledge,Liu’s residence and other dwellings in Shanxi Province have been investigated many times,including surveying,photography,interview,mapping,questionnaire survey and so on,which lays a solid foundation for the research of this paper.On the basis of previous investigation and literature combing,based on the research perspective of this subject,this paper comprehensively applies the theories and methods of culturology,architecture and other related disciplines to carry out an in-depth study of the artistic characteristics of Liu’s residential architecture.For the study of Liu’s residence,most of the previous research focused on tourism development and historical and cultural perspective,from the level of architectural art,less research results,more attention to the architectural form,for the in-depth analysis of architectural and cultural characteristics and decorative techniques of Liu’s residence is less.Based on the research purpose of protecting and inheriting the traditional folk culture,this paper synthesizes different research perspectives and research methods,the site selection,cultural characteristics,space form,architectural decoration,the existing problems and protection measures of Liu’s residence are discussed in depth.On the basis of previous research,this paper attempts to study the architectural art of Liu’s residence in the specific context of Liu’s literati’s concept of cultural life,and in the depth analysis the cultural characteristics of the design ideas,the recluse culture,the ploughing and reading culture in Liu’s residential architecture.This paper is divided into five parts: the first part is the elaboration of the background,the analysis of the research background,research status,research purpose,research significance and research methods.The second part analyzes the historical background,architectural location and cultural characteristics of Liu’s residence,which provides the necessary premise and foundation for the study of the artistic characteristics of Liu’s residence.On the basis of the historical and cultural background,the third part begins to further analyze the overall layout and the single courtyard layout of the building space of the Liushi residence,thus obtaining the morphological characteristics of the courtyard space of the Liu residence,and analyzing the structure and form of Liu’s residence.The fourth part discusses the decorative characteristics of Liushi residence,from the details of architectural decoration,craft types,decorative subject matter and expression techniques respectively,and then obtains the characteristics of Liushi residence architectural decoration.The fifth part,starting from the protection and inheritance of Liu’s residence,analyzes the existing problems of Liu’s residence,and puts forward the corresponding protection measures.
