| Since its construction in 1958,the plan positioning of the Beijing green isolating area has changed from the original "green isolation group" to the "city park belt",as a result of city development and social needs change. In addition, with the economical and social development and the improvement of the people’s material living standards, the cultural needs of the citizens have continued to grow, and the form and content of recreation also have become increasingly abundant. Therefore, citizens’ recreation demands must also gradually change. In this case,Chaolai Park, was used as an example to study on how to implement the current citizens’ recreation demands in the planning of the park during Beijing first green isolating area’s upgrading from the country park belt to the city park belt.Through the satisfaction survey of recreational activities in surrounding park and the spot investigation on the site, the recreational needs of potential users of the park are summarized, and corresponding strategies are formulated to respond to them in the park design. In addition,Chaolai Park,as part of Beijing green isolating area and Beijing’s nine wedge-shape green lands, should play an active role in improving the urban ecological environment and improving the quality of urban open space. |
