| Evaluating the degree of urban development plays an important role in measuring the level of regional and national development. At the same time,it is also of great value and significance for improving the orientation of urban development and formulating future development plans.Primarily, this paper analyzes and discusses the methods of assessing the degree of urban development, and finds that there are three main defects in the current method of evaluating the degree of urban development:Firstly, the existing assessment methods are not comprehensive, regardless of using single or comprehensive indicators, the impact of urban population size, economic development level and transportation network on urban development cannot be taken into account.Secondly, gravity model is a traditional model to evaluate the spatial interactive vitality(i.e.interactive intensity),but the model is complex and has parameters to be estimated, which lacks universality.Thirdly,if the actual passenger volume is used to evaluate the urban interaction vitality, the data needed is difficult to obtain, and there are some difficulties in practical application. In view of these problems, this paper is devoted to finding a more comprehensive assessment method of urban development, and the required data obtained easily. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.Based on the theory of spatial interaction, this paper proposes a spatial interaction vitality model.Compared with the traditional gravity model, the spatial interaction vitality model is simple in form,parameter-free and universal. In addition, the spatial interaction vitality model not only takes into account the population size and economic development level of the city, but also considers the impact of transportation infrastructure network among cities on the development of the city. Therefore, the spatial interaction vitality model can be used to evaluate the degree of urban development comprehensively.2.The spatial interaction vitality model is applied to the evaluation of 340 prefecture-level cities in China.By comparing the interaction vitality of cities with or without high-speed rail network in the transportation network in 2015,the travel time threshold which is generally acceptable to the people of the whole country is obtained.Comparing the urban interaction vitality of two different transportation networks in 2005 and 2015,the paper analyzes the changes of the interaction vitality of 340 prefecture-level cities in China, and concludes that the development of high-speed rail network had a great impact on the interaction vitality of cities in the past 10 years.3.The spatial interactive dynamic model is extended to evaluate the development degree of 14 urban agglomerations in China.Combined with the definition of urban agglomeration, four indicators are selected to evaluate and analyze the development degree of the 14 urban agglomerations, they are vitality per unit area, development balance,in-out ratio of vitality and per capita GDP respectively. It is found that urban agglomerations, development is imperfect in China. Then, the development degree of urban agglomerations is analyzed by using the method of entropy weight, and the development degree of 14 urban agglomerations is comprehensively analyzed by giving the corresponding weight to each index. The results of the comprehensive analysis in this paper have certain reference value and guiding significance for the future development planning of urban agglomerations. |
