Along with the rapid development of economy and society in Chinese city,due to absence of constraints,non-breaking agglomerating of large and medium size cities,the city problem is increasing seriousness,which results that more core spaces are becoming more and more crowded,and city present the feature of unbalance development.With above mentioned background,renewal design into which low carbon idea is introduced,becomes necessary and also efficient for sustainable development of cities.Based on the renewal design of Changsha railway station zone,common difficulties during growth of core zones along with development of large and medium size cities,which is listed as follows: interruption of building,insufficient development space for high density of building,the low life of construction service and the high rate of demolition,traffic jam and turbulence,shortage of public space for leisure,small portion of slow traffic modes,low life time of buildings,lack serving function of green lands,etc.The reasons include harmonious development of buildings,not rational capacity rate,unsystematic infrastructure conditions for slow traffic tools and inconvenient transfer,lack of elastic building space,etc.With the base of above study,low carbon strategy in renewal design is brought forward,which can be described as follows: With optimum configuration of lands,rational control of development intensity and expansion combined with upgrading of public space,the intensive use of land will be promoted.Through these approaches including promotion of public traffic rate,optimization of slow traffic system,convenient private traffic conditions,they are adopted for building good efficient traffic combination.With sufficient utility of inner resources,guidance of the upper planning and experience of cities of the same kind,low carbon of industries can be pushed.Based on reevaluation of existing buildings,reconstruction of reserved buildings and elastic design of reserved space,the usage value of buildings can be maximized.The feasible ways including three-dimensional space with rich oxygen,balance of artistic greening earthwork,vigorous setup of landscape space,are employed to promote service ability and usage value.
