Research On The Design Of Inns Based On The Inheritance Of Huayao Dai's Traditional Residential Culture

Huayao Dai,also known as Huabai Yi in ancient times,is a unique branch of Dai nationality,and is the name for Dai People living under Ailao Mountain in the Red River basin.However,their residential buildings are different from the Dai People's "pole-railing" style bamboo buildings in Xishuangbanna,Dehong areas etc.The design of traditional residential buildings of Huayao Dai was mainly affected by the culture of other ethnic groups in the surrounding areas and the local natural environment and climate,therefore most of their residential buildings are“Tuzhang” houses.As one of the forms of traditional dwellings in Yunnan,the “Tuzhang” houses have received more and more attention.However,with the changes of the times and the development of economy,people are changing the way of life that has been passed down for thousands of years,and gradually abandoned many traditional cultures.The inheritance and development of traditional dwellings of Huayao Dai are facing difficulties.In order to solve such problems,it's necessary to study the "live transmission".The key to the "live transmission" is not to simply copy the traditional way,but to integrate the traditional residential culture of Huayao Dai into modern design,so as to enable the systematic,scientific and sustainable inheritance and development of the traditional residential culture of Huayao Dai.The cultures of Huayao Dai minority contain its traditional residential culture.The architectural thought and Ecological traits of harmony between man and nature in the residential culture are all compatible with modern design.In 2017,Jiasa Town,the “Hometown of Huayao Dai”,was approved as a characteristic town.In the construction of this characteristic town,the sub-project of Zhongheng · Huajie Shui'an project put forward the requirements for the inn design,that it should focus on the traditional Huayao Dai residential style,and incorporate the related green-ecology design concept.The author has conducted an exploration and study on how to integrate the traditional residential culture of Huayao Dai into the design of the inn in term of this project.The main contents of this paper is as follows.First,starting from the study background,the paper introduced the status quo of studies on the traditional residential culture of Huayao Dai and the design of the inn,the purpose and significance of the study,and the study method used;second,through the analysis of thetraditional residential culture of Huayao Dai,this paper discussed the combination of traditional residential culture of Huayao Dai with the design of the inn.Thirdly,it analyzed how to bring the traditional residential culture of Huayao Dai into the application of inn design based on the above description,mainly focusing on the feasibility,application method and feasible ecological technology.Finally,it further analyzed the integration based on the process of practical designing of the inn,which includes the background of the project,the design of the inn courtyard space,the energy-saving design of the individual building and the design of the interior space,hoping to sort out the approach to the design of the Huayao Dai residential building that adapts to the development of modern society.
