Research On Application Of BIM Technology In F Group Company Owner's Engineering Change Management

In the process of project construction,engineering change is inevitable.The result of engineering change is investment over estimate,schedule behind,quality out of control,engineering claims,contract disputes and difficulty of final accounts.And this a series of negative effects,will all be paid by developer(owner)finally.When the owner is a state-owned enterprise,the whole process of engineering change must also withstand the insp ection o f the Audit Department and Disciplinary Dep artments.These all request high quality of the owner's engineering change management.Based on the background of owner's engineering change management issues of construction project,the thesis analyzes the current situation and existing problems of the projects9 engineering change management of F group,which is a state-owned petrochemical enterprise.Through the study and understanding of the application of BIM(for S hort of "Building Information Modeling")technology,this thesis proposes the idea of applying BIM technology to the engineering change management of F groiup.Then,the application mode of BIM technology applicable to F group is selected,the application process is defined,the responsibilities and permissions of users are assigned,and the application points and expected application effects of BIM model are proposed.Finally,the application value of BIM technotogy is revealed through actual project application cases,which verifies the effectiveness of the research results of this thesis.This thesis concluded that BIM technology has significant social and economic benefits in the owners' engineering change management.During the design and construction phase,through establishing BIM models and applying them to drawing review,construction simulation,construction plan selection and engineering change programe evaluation,the owner can greatly reduce the amount of negative changes,significantly raise the level of change management,shorten the construction period,save the project investment.So we can say that the BIM technology has definite application value.The conclusions of this thesis have noteworthy guiding significance to the follow-up construction projects change management of F group,and have certain reference significance for other enterprises to carry out the change maanagement of infrastructure projects.
