Driven by the wave of motor vehicles in the past few decades,the phenomenon of urban parking has spread from the central area of large and medium-sized cities to the whole city.Under the background of the contradiction of parking in large and medium-sized cities and the tight scale of construction land,the characteristics of small space occupied by machanical parking garage and high space utilization efficiency have gradually become prominent.Therefore,the planning and construction of machanical parking garage has become the the main means to discover potentials for parking spaces in large and medium-sized cities.However,the machanical parking garage has a large mechanical characteristics in addition to the traditional parking building.There is a higher demand for waiting space in the peak storage period.At present,most of the domestic plans for machanical parking garages do not fully consider the operational indicators and service efficiency of machanical parking garage equipment,and still apply the traditional flat parking slot or parking building related planning methods to the planning and construction of machanical parking garages,then may cause the the service of the machanical parking garage inefficient,and the original advantages of the machanical parking garage could not be fully utilized.As a result,the phenomenon of “zombie garage” and “dead garage” was frequent,making the relationship between supply and demand worse.Therefore,the reasonable size of machanical parking garage plays an important role in the optimal configuration of mechanical parking resources.It is necessary to propose a set of size measurement methods for machanical parking garage planning.Based on the operating principle and influencing factors of machanical parking garage,this paper constructs a set of machanical parking garage slot scale calculation method based on queuing theory.This paper first analyzes the parking demand generation mechanism from two types of parking behaviors: basic parking and travel parking,and analyzes the main problems existing in the current parking construction standards,and combines the main characteristics of two parking requirements and different parking supply strategies.Then putting forward countermeasure strategies to the problems existing in the current parking allocation standards and providing a theoretical basis for the calculation of parking gaps.Secondly,through the analysis of the operating principle and main features of the machanical parking garage,the traditional parking building has been compared with space utilization,environmental protection,economic cost and user experience,combined with the main features of the machanical parking garage.Factors related to the size of the parking slot were analyzed.Thirdly,for the basic parking and travel parking,according to the parking demand generation mechanism and the parking slot supply strategy,the gap calculation method is proposed.Taking the old residential community and the large public hospital as examples,combined with the analysis of the factors affecting the size of the machanical parking garage parking slot.Based on the queuing theory,the gap of parking slot,queuing space limitation and cost of use are used to construct the measurement model of the machanical parking garage parking slot size under the basic parking demand and travel parking demand.Finally,on the basis of determining the size of the machanical parking garage parking slot,taking the vertical lifting type machanical parking garage as an example,the mathmatical analytical model is constructed and the optimal library under the parking slot scale is calculated based on the most unfavorable time and the full load exchange time.Getting the parking slot arrangement and number of the entrances.
