Research And Practice Of Residential Space Design For Presupposed Old-Age Care

With the rapid progress in pharmaceutical technology,science,health care and nutrition levels,as well as the baby boom of 1960 s,China has become one of the largest and fastest-growing countries in the world with the largest number of elderly people.The existing economy is no longer sufficient to support such a large number of “middle-aged generation” transition to social pension.However,the current age-friendly design can't meet the needs of the “middle-aged” groups at the present stage.Since middle-aged groups has accumulated a better economic strength in their middle and late stages of the career,some people have purchased high-end old-age housing,which appeals to new ways of old-age care such as “migratory old-age care” or “escape from the city”.In this case,designing the house in a preset endowment way which suitable for “middle-aged groups” will,to a certain extent,eliminate the trouble of aging-adapted modification in the future.The thesis mainly talks about the space design of preset endowment.As an emerging theory,the preset endowment has no ready-made and mature theory at this stage,but there are some supporting design examples to rely on,from the perspective of interdisciplinary,the author collected a large number of domestic and foreign information about senior residence,general residence and age-friendly residence,made an in-depth analysis of its development,characteristics and cases.Besides,the author also collected the design features of the existing senior residence,general residence,age-friendly residence and the psychological,physiological,behavioral characteristics of different “middle-aged groups”.Combined with the current problems of the residence of the “middle-aged groups” and the design features of senior residence,the thesis taking the design scheme of “Evergrande Splendid” Feng's house as the starting point,make an analysis,comparison and research on the barrier free design,universal design,forward-looking design,transition design and psychological care in preset endowment theory and put forward my own design strategies,thus explores the feasibility basis of the design of preset endowment housing.It is hoped that the research and the application of the design scheme of preset endowment in townhouse can provide some references for the future design of preset endowment and the development of the emerging “silver hair economy” industry.
