Research On Conceptual Design Of Wuhan Design Museum

Following November 2017,Wuhan successfully applied for the “Design Capital” of the world and officially became a member of the global creative city network.This accelerated the process of building a national central city and an international metropolis in Wuhan.The “Design Capital” can promote the development of Wuhan's comprehensive strength,and then promote the construction of Wuhan's creative culture.In the Wuhan Municipal Government's document “Opinions on Building a Cultural Five Cities” to build a culture-strong city,Wuhan is to become a city of study,a city of museums,a city of art,a city of design and creativity,and a city of universities.Design museums have deep influences in the fields of design,culture and education.Therefore,the construction of Wuhan Design Museum plays a vital role in the development of Wuhan's creative culture.The paper summarizes the research background,research significance,research content and research methods,and briefly analyzes the research status,development history and historical origin of design museums at home and abroad,and defines the related concepts,architectural features and architectural types of the design museum..Based on the case of three contemporary classic design museums,the architectural examples were analyzed from the four aspects of architectural development,overall layout,architectural modeling and architectural space.As a building place for public life,the design of the museum's cultural radiation ability can enhance the public's aesthetic standards,thus restricting the low-level and unattractive products of the manufacturing industry.This is also of great significance to an urban creative industry.Therefore,the author collects the development status and existing problems of Wuhan creative culture industry,college art education,design related fields,and takes the social function of design museum as the entry point,and proposes solutions to related problems.At the same time,conceptual design is used to supplement the exploration of the thesis.This paper analyzes the design function of the museum,the accessibility of the site,the architectural style and the location of the site through the conceptual design study of the Wuhan Design Museum.Construction,creative industry construction and cultural education construction provide effective suggestions and reflections related to design museums.
