Research On The Planning And Architectural Design Of The Whole Age Mixed Retirement Community

Each person is in hopes of a comfortable residence when he is growing old.Therefore,this dissertation focus on how to construct the elderly care facilities to satisfy the needs of the elder,and provide a healthy and cheerful senectitude to them.China has entered the aging society since 1999.China is the country with the largest elderly population in the world because of the large population base and the rapidly developing population.In 2040,China is predicted that the percentage of population over 65 years old will above the 20%in the total population.Currently,the proportion of the elder with the empty nest,disability,chronic disease is increasing.Meanwhile,the problem of defective elderly care facilities is obvious.The economic and social problems impel our country to consider the solution of old age care.The old-age community,especially the whole age mixed retirement community in China is new and in the initial stage.This dissertation analysis the psychology,physiology,behavior and the demand of the aged.Furthermore,the excellent old-age community planning design over the world is studied in order to determine the suitable old-age care architecture design methods.It provides the theoretical,practical experience,as well as design methods to the whole age mixed aging community in China.Simultaneously,this dissertation researches effective means and strategy of the whole age mixed retirement community’s construction and practice.Finally,combined with the analysis and research on domestic and foreign cases,the conclusion is used to guide the design of the whole age mixed retirement community in Chenzhou sun city.
