Study On Design Of The Community Outdoor Space Suitable For The Aging Of Population

In 21 st, globe population aging is accelerating. In many developed countries, people with ages over 65 account 20% of the total population, since entering aging society in the end of 1990 s, this process is rapidly exacerbated, the series issues derived from the actual alteration of population structure should be greatly concerned by whole society.With the continuous increase of age, vision, hearing, balance ability, coordination ability and memorization from older people have been altered irreversibly. Due to the most suitable pension mode as home-based care for older people in China, outdoor space of community becomes extension of home-based living for older people, which design basis should reconsider this alteration, and improve standard of design and construction, therefore, create outdoor space suitable for older people, satisfy requirements by people in each age-period and improve utilization rate of community space as well as promoting the communication and entertainment between older people and others, thereby providing safer and more comfortable physical environment for home-based care. Thus, in this paper, writer emphasized on design and construction for the community outdoor space close to home-based care for older people, and regarded aging society as background for the purpose of studying community outdoor space how to adapt issues of population aging. Firstly, this paper started from basic theoretical research,understood the elderly health and behavior scale, classified older people, and studied their special features of psychology, physiology, behavior and requirements, discussed the correlation between behavior of older people and community outdoor space, meanwhile, through field research, comprehended existing situation of community outdoor space and using situation of older people, analyzed the lack part community environment design for older people, and masterd the real needs of the elderly outdoor space, this paper epitomized key points in the design on community outdoor space in the background of aging as space function, level and landscape elements, based on the mentioned above, this paper discussed the building methods of community outdoor space adapted to population aging, and adopted this method as guide to simulate practice for purpose of providing certain references for design and construction of the community space in the background of aging.
