With the continuous increase of the college students,the campus area is increasing,the strength of the professional disciplines of the campus is increasing day by day,and the campus culture has gradually precipitated,and so on.Colleges and universities have gone through a period of mass production.The rational planning of university leaders,planners,or industry elites has been unconvincing.At this point,we should reflect on "who is theservice object ofschool","who isschool for?" O nly by the way that solving the problems caused by the development step by step,could the spirit and culture of the university precipitate.This paper focuses on the present situation and problems of college campus planning in Guangzhou,taking Guangzhou universities as an example.Based on people’s cognition of the environment of the university,the article study the rules that could summary the type and characteristics of the university image.This paper explores the effective and feasible methods of campus planning and design.The purpose of this study is to solve the problems and contradictions caused by the rapid development of university campus and the loss of space left by large-scale planning.Aiming at enriching the spaces and the geniuos loci about the university,this article stimulate the vitality of campus lost space.Firstly,this article carries on the data collection and the summary to the selected topic,defines the research object and the related concept,and obtains the research object significance from the domestic and foreign research summary angle.Then the articlesummarizes the basic situation and existing problems of the universities in Guangzhou from: "figure-ground" of the university,the connection and the genius loci.On the basis of theoretical research,this paper starts with the investigation of the cognition of the campus space by the main users of the university in Guangzhou,and carries on the sample investigation to South China Agricultural University,Xinghai Conservatory of Music,Jinan University.Through the analysis of the students’ cognitive map of the campus,the formation of the campus image,the cognitive model of campus environment is summarized.The research concludes that the cognition of campus subjects to campus space is finally shown in the form of imagery.The image elements of campus include two aspects: structural image and unique image.Structural imagery includes roads,nodes,regions,markers,boundaries,which is the physical type of space.Unique images include campus history,campus users and campus activities,which is the meaning of the space.Spatial cognition rule is one of the applications of spatial cognition in environmental design.This paper sums up the cognitive model of university campus environment.Campus planning form,sensory effect,user demand and environment naming affect campus spatial cognition.The optimization principles include accessibility,integrity,intentionality,and readability,which is obtained from the cognitive rules of campus space.Finally,this thesis takes South China Agricultural University as an example to study the application of campus spatial cognition.By evaluating the data,the article analyzes the positive space and the lost space.The active space of South C hina Agricultural University includes Wetland Park,Zijing bridge and graffiti street.The lost space includes the actual demand space,the outdoor space and the administrative space.The paper gets some spatial optimization countermeasures,which is Guided by the principles of campus space optimization and learned from the optimization strategy of the positive space.
