Gantry crane is a kind of mechanical product that mainly be used to production,cargo transportation,disassemble equipment and the important infrastructure construction.It is a very important equipment in improving the industrial automation level,developing the port logistics and accelerating the infrastructure construction.With the need of rapid development in manufacturing,port logistics and the infrastructure construction,the mass customization will be the important mode of production to gantry crane in the future.Because of the problems of gantry crane traditional designing method,such as low knowledge efficiency of reusing,high repetition rate,high cost and low design efficiency.For these reasons,this article has presented gantry crane adaptable design platform under mass customization,that aims at providing a kind of design methods for gantry crane manufacturers,customized gantry cranes will be designed and manufactured in time,manufacturers can easily adapt rapidly to market development by applying the gantry crane adaptable design platform.The research content is as follows:(1)The first part of the thesis is to analysis the necessity of applying adaptable design platform to design gantry crane.That content included discussing the gantry crane development status and the future development trends of gantry crane,stating the related concepts about mass customization,expounding adaptable design platform from two aspects: adaptable design and product platform.At last,the necessity of applying adaptable design platform to design gantry crane was verified.(2)Completed the gantry crane adaptability analysis.Firstly,the principle of adaptable design platform was analyzed from two aspects: the adaptable design and product platform,the market research analysis of gantry crane was done,the feasibility of applying adaptable design platform to design gantry development was varified based on analyzing the adaptability of gantry crane design.Finally the gantry crane development process was analyzed by applying the axiomatic design theory as guidance framework.(3)Completed the modularization and parametric analysis of gantry crane.That has mainly completed the modularization analysis of gantry crane from four aspects: the functional analysis of gantry crane,module decomposition,module series extension and module classification.At last,the necessity of applying parameterized design method to gantry crane development was discussed and verified.(4)Established the gantry crane adaptable design platform.First of all,the analysis and planning of daptable design platform was completed,and the development softwares of design platform were defined.At last,gantry crane adaptable design platform was constructed from five aspects: gantry crane design parameters,trolley,framed structure,trolley traveling mechanism and the last function modules.The gantry crane adaptable design platform mainly contains adaptable design,platform design modular design and parameterized design.It has translated the process of gantry crane design into the platform operating system by computer technology,based on the functional structure of gantry crane.Finally,the customized gantry crane,bridge-type crane and function modules will be developed rapidly and effectively by applying the adaptable design platform.
