A Research On Spatio-temporal Characteristics And Motivation Of Space Utilization In The Center District Of City

Nowadays with regard to social reforms and reconstructions of material cultural space,the promotion and transformation of central areas has become the enormous challenge for cities.As for new circumstances and new problems,the traditional physical space planning is changing into people-centered planning,and thus the utilization of space gradually becomes the focus of space construction.With the development of network information,individual's space time behavior data has been tremendously produced;hence ample researches on this field have been conducted.In contrast,few researches have been conducted on people authentic activities in urban center areas and the results of temporal and spatial use are absent,and the same is true of the relevant motivation mechanism analysis.This paper takes space utilization in Nanjing Xin jie kou area as the research object.Based on baidu thermodynamic diagram and according to the observation,questionnaire and interview in Xin jie kou area,this paper analyses the characteristics of space utilization in urban center district from three dimensions including human dimension,space dimension and time dimension,summarizes the differential features on diverse space,diverse time,and diverse human levels.Furthermore,the paper deeply analyzes the reason of this phenomena and points out the motivation hiding behind,such as the publicity of the space,the type of function and business form,the design of landscape and environment,people diversity and other factors.Facing the space updating and quality improvement of urban center district,clarifying the phenomena and logic of the Spatio-temporal Utilization in center district provides important reference for the transformation of planning concept and method.This dissertation consists of three sections:The first section is the first chapter and second chapter,which mainly includes introduction and reviews of related researches.In the first chapter,the writer introduces the background,significance,solutions of this study and then the overview of Nanjing Xin jie kou area.The second chapter explores the study of theoretical basis,which contains Behavioral Geography and Time Geography.Then,the writer clearly divides and presents the current studies of stage and results of space time behavior,and also the author provides summary and comments that though ample researches have been conducted regarding space time behavior in China,there is still a significant lag compared with foreign countries and The study of micro individual depth is still insufficient,and the acquisition and the precision of big data still have defects.The second section,includes the third and fourth chapter,is the main part of empirical study.In the third chapter,the writer elaborates the spatio-temporal differentiation characteristics of space utilization in the center district of city,which are represented in the three aspects of spatial variation?time variation?and social variation.In addition,as the dynamic change of time and people,the existing central district space shows rigid and lag,thus creating the space is difficult to update and adjust in time.So,the problems of space utilization from the perspective of time and space are also discussed in this chapter,which consists of inefficiency of urban areas in the whole time period,the traditional concentric frames of spatial structure use,the lack of innovation growth factors and the ignorance of the different crowd demand in the new era.The fourth chapter deeply analyzes the motivation and mechanism of space and time differentiation in space utilization,and construct interaction mechanism model.This paper suppose the dominant factor is space function and forms,nice environment design can activate the space utilization,people's needs and interests constitute the most emerging power,the time rule of one day becomes the core factor.The third section is the summary of the study,includes the fifth chapter and sixth chapter.The fifth chapter is based on the perspective of spatial behaviors,and the thinking and solutions of central public space design,which include new function formats implant,traffic flow line organization,guide the public space itself.in order to lead the design and plan of future urban public area,and improve plyability of time,space,as well as humans.Chapter six is the conclusion of the whole dissertation,the author also contends the innovations and limitations.The whole thesis contains about 54 000 words,71 pictures and charts.
